COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Horchata is a traditional, sweet, milky drink originating in Spain and Latin America that has become quite popular in Southern California, particularly with Mexican cuisine. Our take on the traditionally non-alcoholic drink is a blonde ale brewed with a heavy dosing of rice, cinnamon and fresh vanilla beans along with lactose for a litle extra creamy character. If you didnt know better, youd think it was carbonated horchata.

The (not so) shit beer tasting at Leightons stratospheric flat. Hazy amber beer with a good pale cream coloured head. Vanilla Ice Cream! Cinnanon Danish! Spot of dried fruits. A sweet and unusual beer which presents the marriage of the aforementioned sweets fairly well.

Bottle shared at the Night of Garbage - many thanks to Kenno. Pours hazy gold with a tight, creamy off-white head. Inviting aroma, lots of cinnamon cake, vanilla frosting. Big sweet flavor, well spiced, plenty of cinnamon buns, hot cross buns. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Lots of pastries to finish, more vanilla frosting, creme, slight cinnamon spice. Good stuff.

Bottle at the Night of Garbage, big thanks to Kenny the Bruery pimp, 20/12/13 up a shit load of stairs ! Hazed orange amber with a good sized off white head. Nose is sweet caramel, vanilla ice cream, light spice, syrupy, Danish pastries. Taste comprises vanilla, caramel, Danish pastries and doughnuts, sweet all round. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, smooth. Ok stuff but a little overly sweet for my liking.

On tap at the taproom. Almost clear in the glass, dark golden to amber, with a small, off-white head. The aroma has some vanilla hidden behind the cinnamon, a light caramel blending in. The flavor has some bitterness, else its more or less like the aroma. Full body, soft carbonation and a warming touch. Long finish. A bit intense at first, then really nice. 130811

Hazy orange-amber pour with a white head. Amazing cinnamon and vanilla aroma. Sweet malt, brown sugar, and a light fruitiness. The flavor has a great vanilla character and sweetness. Tons of cinnamon spiciness, sugar, and a bit of toasted bread.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured hazy dark golden color with a moderate frothy white head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate sweet, vanilla and spice aroma. Medium to abundant body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium spice sweet flavor with a smooth sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Solid refreshing brew.

Bottle thanks to Kenny at the Night of Garbage. It pours cloudy amber with a medium yellow-white head. The nose is sweet rice pudding, vanilla, coconut, passion fruit, coconut cake, milk and cinnamon. The taste is vanilla ice-cream, clove rock, candy, sweet milk, lactose, passion fruit, cinnamon and nutmeg. Medium body, fine carbonation and oily mouth-feel. Works rather well, balance is very good. Pretty tasty stuff.
