3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: MAR 27, 2014 Bottle: Thanks, Mike! Murky mahogany, big sediment chunks, beige gray head that settles quick. Aroma is vinegar, mild tropical fruit, some cherries and lactic tartness. Taste is similar, vinegar and oak sour notes, puckering with cherries, tropical fruit, lemon-like acidity that works the saliva glands. Sour and delicious! Dry finish, thin mouth feel. Very good beer, though I really don’t pick up any guava at all, as the label states.
Bottle, 2012, so I guess I overcellared this one. Pours clear reddish chestnut, small beige head, dissipates fairly quickly with decent lacing. Aroma is initially a lot of nail polish remover, oak tannins, plum, lemon, funk. Flavor is medium tart, light plus funk, lots of oak, hints of tart. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel. stevoj (5886) - Boise, Idaho, USA - FEB 21, 2016
Saturday night bottle share. 750ml bottle courtesy of Toby Berries and barrels. Lots of wooden notes to take the edge off the tartness of his sour. Slick and oily, sweet and tart, which lingers on the palate. BuckeyeBoy (8861) - Boise, Idaho, USA - FEB 20, 2016

Poured a hazy orange with a white head. Aroma was of yeast, vinegar, light fruit and lemon. Flavor similar, mouth puckering and acetone. People who rate hightly these BS sours that the bruery produces crack me up. Boutip (6633) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 2, 2015
Bottle: Poured a deep clear reddish color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of tart notes with some light vinous notes and some oak. Taste is a complex mix of guava with some tart and oak notes with some light vinous notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Nice level of complexity with some good drinkability with the nice guava presence. MacBoost (1963) - Victor, New York, USA - MAY 1, 2015
Bottle from trade. Pours a murky brown with a scant head. Aromas of oak and some light citrus. Taste is tart and semi dry. Flavors of sour apple, some orange, oak, moss and a slight funk. Perhaps a touch of vinegar. Alcohol is hidden. Tart, lip smacking finish. I want to like this more than I do, but in the end it’s just another mediocre Bruery offering.
