Tap, brown pour, tan head, nose is coffee, taste is coffee and chocolate, strong. Clownoisseur (482) - Buchanan, Michigan, USA - MAY 2, 2014
On tap at The Bruery. Pours black with a slightly orange hue around the edges. Thin mocha head. Aromas of dry cocoa, roasted nuts and some ripe orange. Taste was not as bold as expected. Mouthfeel was again, a tad bit thin. Was hoping for a thicker, slightly silky stout...this is more oily and light in that area. I get some of the orange sweetness, but not the profound interplay with the chocolates that I wanted. I enjoyed this, but was hoping for a bigger, bolder offering in terms of mouthfeel and flavor. brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - APR 19, 2014
On tap @ The Bruery. Black pour with a tan head. Crazy cocoa nib, coffee, and orange peel aroma. Really zesty and oily orange. Slight candy, lots of roast, and some licorice. Intense. Flavor is quite sweet. Tons of orange zest as oils. Licorice, coffee, roast, and cocoa nibs are prominent as well. Slight oatmeal cookie. A bit of creamsicle on the finish. On tap via taster at The Bruery. Dark black pour not much head. They really nailed the jelly orange chocolate candy. A tad sweet but so much going on and unique.
