750 ml bottle - sampled during our motorhome tour through California. Pours deep amber with red hue and a frotty light beige greyish head. Aroma: hoppy nose fo grapefruit and tangerine peel and peach. Medium body with a bitterness bomb and a slight sweet touch... Dr sweet finish. Loooong finish, taste is all about the hops. :-( this is definitely not a barley wine. Blairgus (4613) - California, USA - NOV 4, 2012
4 nov 2012, tap at the Bruery. Light brown, clear, no bubbles. Nose is nose is all hops: grapefruit rind and slightly resiny. Thin body and mildly fizzy. Kind of disappointing. Thin body and not much malt or alcohol flavor. It's all hops balanced but overpowered by sweet grapefruit rind. Lightly bitter finish.

UPDATED: JAN 15, 2013 75cl, new exclusive American brew Anno 2011, from De Hopduvel Gent, complex brew, sweet/bitter and slightly alcoholic/fruity, not balanced, cloudy, good head, good brew, yet expensive! Hopper (827) - San Antonio, Texas, USA - OCT 1, 2012
750 ml bottle thanks to mashmaster. Dark brown color. with a lasting foamy head. Aroma is strongly sweet, mostly caramel but also raisins and a touch fruity. Not really anything I want to keep smelling but its not too bad. The taste was muddled and does not go down as sweet as the aroma played itself to be. Some brown sugar and oxidized port like qualities. It’s an easy beer to drink as far as alcohol strength and style but it does not seem to achieve much. fletchfighters (1546) - AUSTRALIA - AUG 15, 2012
A-- Poured a dark, golden amber color. Dark leather is a better way of putting it. Light brown, two finger, light brown colored head. Excellent streaks of lacing on this. Good head retention on swirling.
S-- Big hoppy nose up front that drops off to Carmel, toffee, apricot and prune notes. In some ways this has a lot of a smell of a DIPA.
T-- Hops up front and followed by a lot of rich, thick, and buttery Carmel backbone. Very nice.
M-- Mostly pine hops in this. To me the pine is stronger in the mouth feel than in the taste. Pretty much medium feel and higher medium carbonated. A little bit creamy at times. Quite a dry finish to this with a pine and grapefruit punch. ABV is noticeable in the mouth.
D-- Quite nice. Has a bit of the DIPA smell and feel and a lot of the barley wine character to this.

A: Brackish brown. Agressive pour yields thin, lasting lacing.
N: Really heavy toffee and caramel nose. Some grapefruit and mango. Coconut.
T: The nose matches the taste. Grapefruit, mango, coconut, toffee and caramel.
M: Sits well on the tongue. Medium mouthfeel. Very nice.
O: After 2 years, this is doing really well. Stomps Bigfoot to the curb. More please. joergen (28720) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 19, 2012
