Hazy amber color. Aroma of malt, with vanilla, oak, sweet caramel, fudge. Good malty and toffee flavor, caramel, with medium residual sweetness, and strong hopping.
On tap at the taproom. A hazy dark amber beer with a small beige head. Quite pine aroma, oranges too. A bit much alcohol, and some malt scents. Caramel notes. The flavor is very bitter, with alcohol warmth, ful body and a fine carbonation. Caramel in the back, pin cones and some orange peel up front. Really long, really bitter finish. Too warming this one, and unbalanced, still nice. 130811
