3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured a hazy golden straw yellow. Nose was fruity with lots of yeast esters and hints of oak. Taste was a little to sweet for the style, almost chalky at times, it was a cool beer, just not one i would buy again.
Dark golden orange in color... Aroma of vanilla, bourbon, golden malts, sticky syrup... Flavor is kinda bland, soda pop initially, gives way to woody notes... Harsh astringent finish... Not that great

From notes. Tasted in December 2012 from a capped 750mL bottle that I shared with the group. Pours hazy golden orange with an average white head that leaves thin lace. The nose is dominated by oak with vanilla, cinnamon, maple, and some caramel malt coming through. The flavor is, once again, all about the oak, with tons of vanilla, cinnamon, coconut, and maple, with just a touch of malty bitterness. The body is full with light carbonation and a long oaky finish. merc7186 (3142) - North Tonawanda, New York, USA - OCT 14, 2014

Hazy gold pour with a some nice sweetness and a nice fruity, vanilla and oak character. Pretty tasty. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 2, 2013
750mL bottle. Poured slightly cloudy peach with a short white head. The aroma picked up a very nice blend of pineapple and bourbon with some deeper banana and clovey yeast character.. very yeasty and pinapple-y by the back of the nose.. warmth amplified it, but no more than expected. The flavor opened with tangy pineapple and bourbon, with some oak tartness too.. bready malts supported.. sharper toward the back, with pineapple and oak leading.. slightly metallic bourbon barrel and the aforementioned Belgian yeast character on the belly-warming finish. Medium-bodied with low-ish carbonation on the palate.. almost syrupy at times.. not the best flow through the palate, but it was solid overall.

25-JAN-2012, bottle @Papsø tasting, @Yespr. Rating #2000.
Hazy golden with low almist white head.
Sweet aroma with hay’ish malt and bourbon. Taste even more bourbon.
The strong ale is still there though the bourbon comes out pretty strong. But "Hey!", I like bourbon. Lively carbonation, sweet, full, and alcoholic.
Like it a lot. pentaz (1264) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JAN 27, 2013

Taste is near medium sweet and light+ bitter. Body is medium, textures is oily, carbonation is average. Finishes a little dry and warming.
