4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Easily one of the best sour beers I’ve ever had. Murky pale yellow pour with a white head. Aroma is acidic, tart, grassy, citric, funky. The nose on this is unbelievable. Brett is present, but not overpowering, acidity is present but not overpowering, and the malt backbone of the beer just shines through. this was a well crafted beer recipe that held the souring process amazingly well. So complex on the palate. No one flavor stands out, but all of the grassy, funky sour notes play beautifully together. What a beer!
Piana drobna opada pozostaje niewielki krążek. Kolor jasne złoto lekko zmętnione. Aromat nuty dzikie bretowe, drewno, taniny lekko kwaskowy owocowy w brzoskwinie winogrona, bardzo przyjemny. Smak, kwaśne nuty winne, owocowe, winogrona, skórka z niezbyt dojrzałych winogron, jabłek papierówek, brzoskwinie, po chwili czuć słodko beczkę, dębinę, taniny oraz lekka dzikość w stajnie końską derkę. Alkohol ukryty, nagazowanie wysokie Piwo złożone, zbalansowane do długiej degustacji. Kwaśne WOW. derA (91) - Zurich, SWITZERLAND - MAR 7, 2017
Courtesy of TTT @ EB MC: Oh wow, what a revelation. Of the numerous american sours I have been fortunate enough to try so far, this is the closest I have ever had to a standard Belgian Geuze. Nose is a complex mix of some stone fruit with ample straw and hay plus some lemon tart funk. Very low on animal brett notes (pig, horse blanket, etc). Taste is crispy and refreshing, just like traditional, young geuze. This is on par with the recently released 3 Fonteinen Armand & Gaston but with added layers of complexity from aging. Some hops are perceptible but they incorporate fairly well into the overall impression. Fortunately for me, this one does not present any burnt bread or rubber flavors which often taint the experience of Belgian lambics for me. Korcz (3388) - Warsaw, POLAND - NOV 20, 2016

Clear, goldenrod-yellow body is well carbonated and topped by a medium-sized, white head with moderate retention.
Brett in the nose mixes with light wood and provides a tart, lime-like character with some good strength to it. Guava, lemon, yogurt and bits of farmy funk all do an good impression. I actually had a bottle of 3F oude gueuze during this visit and while this, of course, didn’t come close, it also was respectable. No alcohol or flaw and light on the malt, unlike the newer version.
Good sourness to the flavor, well-aged and even, without any large proportion of acetic acid. Lemony-yogurt notes surge forth as the brett and lactic acids mix. Stronger wood apparency than most Belgian lambics give it a bit more American character. Medium amounts of engaging carbonation and no alcohol or flaw. Not half bad at all.
2013 vintage found on the bottom shelf of a local liquor store. On sale! Pours a very nice golden amber from a bottle. Aroma of apricot and barn. Flavor is a white balsamic vinegar tart apricot. Very good beer.

Shared bottle at Antenna America 2014 version. Nice tartness, but feels a little thin. Getting there, but maybe lacking the Belgian spark. Enjoyable though.

Bottle shared. 2014 vintage. Pretty impressive stuff, rich fruity balsamic with lingering sourness and some wine quality. Another masterpiece from these guys. willisread (3803) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - SEP 8, 2016
2014 bottle shared at AA. Tons of gooseberry, lemon and grass all over the nose. Some pinot grigio notes. Sour, light, crisp carbonation and refreshing. The perfect summer beer for a rooftop in Yokohama. BuckeyeBoy (8860) - Boise, Idaho, USA - AUG 27, 2016
750ml bottle thanks to darrel. Pours out a hazy wheat color topped with a small white head. Nose is lemon zest some wet wheat and a barnyard funk. Taste is more of the barnyard funk lemon citrus and some wheat notes. HippieFee (483) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAY 15, 2016
Large Format - Light golden color to it with a slight haze. Great tart flavor, barrel aged but I don’t taste any oak which is good. Not a complex beer but I love the flavor. Well balanced tartness, really enjoyed this beer.
