The aftertaste and flavors that sit on the tongue are great. Initial coffee flavor followed by a subdued brett and sour brown. This beer has really got me thinking. Sour on the nose. Toasty, caramel, chocolate. Delicious. Head is tiny bubbles that stay and fade into a cocoa-red body. With all the crap that is out there it is hard to see how someone could knock this. W aromacie cudnie owocowo, słodko, maliny, truskawki, śliwki (chyba przede wszystkim), nuty sherry, wszystko spojone słodową nutą. W smaku gęste, wyklejające, bardzo owocowe, choć z wytrawnym, dostojnym finiszem, lekko kwaskowym, ale i z wyraźną chmielową goryczką. Żytni słód nadał gęstości, lepkości, co nie rzutowało na pijalności. Genialne!

pours pretty deep brown with a small off white head that sticks quite resiliently to the side of the glass. nose is pungent, earthy, quite suprisingly fruity as well, notes of rye, and bread definitely there. but also a lot of fruit which i find a bit suprising in the good way. taste is very complex, very light on the palate with good fizzy carbonation, slightly smokey taste, with some subtle grape, vinous undertones. like smoked or roasted rye malt, butterscotch, and a nice subtle sourness. Smells very complex... Chocolate, golden, and some hops in there too. Mouth feel is rather lighter than I expected. Some nice nutty, chocolaty notes in there without being too sweet. Plenty of fresh grain flavor as well, I feel like I am getting my daily allowance of fiber! Finshes roasty and somewhat hoppy, but not over powering. Overall: huge points for being very complex, at the same time light, but too carbonated to warrant a higher rating. 750ml bottle. really thick appearance pouring into the glass. head is insanely huge, which was expected from this bruery. the body is murky brown with lots of fine bubbles. strong aroma of nuts, almond extract, burnt caramel, toast and other assorted brown things...except poop. flavor is the same with a little of the sharp, bitter rye showing up. the palate is full and extremely carbonated. a really awesome, flavorful brown ale. just a bit too carbonated for me palatewise. carruthm (1401) - Seattle, Washington, USA - DEC 28, 2009

This is a liquid rye bread or something like a brown ale with sour hints. sourdough, roasted malts and rye in nose and a very long aftertaste.
