Tap at the Bruery. The beer was the highlight of the evening. It is a super sour kriek with some herbal cherries. It was absolutely amazing. A bottle was purchased at the Bruery Provisions.
2012 bottle. Sadly most of the cherries have fallen off in this bottle. Mouthfeel is a bit tannic, drying. Notes of oak, some cherry, good level of acidity (not sure if from aging). I’ve had more recent versions & the acidity can be too bracing so this was nice. Wish the cherries were still there. From notes. Enjoyed at Corbet’s house warming on April 23. 750 mL bottle, 2012 vintage. The pour is a foggy golden pink color, almost like a pure grapefruit juice. The aroma is tart and sour as hell. It’s got a pretty heavy vinegar aspect to it in front of the oak and cherry. I like this one, but it’s a little too much at the moment. The flavor is much of the same. The cherry is pretty big up front, but then the funky sourness, vinegar, and heavy oak come rolling through. This is a lot more acidic than I was hoping it would be. The mouth feel is thinner and brightly carbonated with a strong vinegary finish, but the fruit does balance some of that out. Cloudy dark orange with a very small white head. Aroma is fruity and tart with cherries, peach, apricot skins, lemon notes, touch of spices. Taste is sour and fruity. Finish is dry and sour, a light touch of vinegar, lemon, tart cherries. Light to medium bodied, average carbonation.
Fruity and refreshing, a bit too sour finish.
Une mousse quasi inexistante, une bière de couleur saumon, très marécageuse. Si je ne m’arrêtais qu’au visuel, je dirais qu’elle n’est pas très invitante. Au nez, c’est de la purée de cerises légèrement sucrées. Par contre, en bouche, c’est très acide ... tout un contraste avec le bouquet. Des tanins de noyaux de cerises viennent ajouter un peu de complexité. Un sucre résiduel discret coupe un peu l’acidité. From notes. Poured cloudy peach with a short white head. The aroma picked up sour oak, cherry, and other fruity notes with some deeper, darker backing. The flavor found sour oak and cherry notes over dry bready malts.. more oak and darker cherry vinegar on the long, sour finish. Sour throughout with lots of barrel presence.. very good overall.

Pour is a murky dirty orange with a small amount of white head that fizzes away immediately. Nose is a bit medicinal, strong cherry aroma, band-aid brett. Pours a strawberry blonde. Aromas of oak and tart fruit. Taste is extremely tart. Flavors of soured fruit, yogurt, oak. This will remove the fucking enamel from your teeth. Kind of vinegar-y. Like many of their sours, I just don’t find much complexity here. Citrus sour, just like the rest of them. Not as abrasive as some.
