Weve been hard at work on a recipe that includes you guessed it seven different grains. Lets see if I can name them all: barley, wheat, rice, oats, corn, rye and...spelt. Yep, I think thats it. The result is a perfect summer beer. Its about 5% ABV and displays a nice fruity yeast character that finishes dry and slightly hoppy. Its seven kinds of wonderful!

On tap @ Specific Gravity, Salisbury Md-Light yellow pour w/a moderate white head. appearence kind of worried me, looked a little week. Light yeast aroma. Had some yeast, some grain/grass, a little sweetness, some hoderate hop flavor. Fairly dry w/a good amount of carbonation. Pretty smooth & easy to drink. Solid brew, not as great as some Ive had from these folks, but soild.

On a personal note, finally caught up on a ratings backlog which has been going up & down for the last 3 months! Gonna have to go sample some new brews tomorrow!

Pretty good Saison expression, not much nose but a good palate and flavor, plus a little of that chalkiness that makes for the best Saisons. Super clean finish, Id give it another try if I found it.

Pours a bright yellow color with aroma of aged citrus like an orange that has been sitting too long. Taste of citrus, orange and lemon, with a mild bitter sour aftertaste. Not one of my favorites from this brewer.

On tap. I typically like saisons, but I found this one a bit harsh and gristy. Also a bit thin somehow. It could have been the keg, but it was a little flat for the style. Seems to lack focus, perhaps too many ingredients.

Growler from Big Z Beverage. Pours a clear golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma of bready malt, oats, pepper, lemon, light fruits. Flavor is initially quite grainy (rice, wheat, oats for sure) with a sweet fruity finish. Overall a very drinkable and enjoyable beer! 7/4/8/4/15 [3.8/5]

Sampled at Get Real NY, cask ale festival. Had this directly after Mischief... which this beer doesnt touch. Awesome concept, tasty fruit character.

GABF 2010 - I wanted to like this so bad, especially since it was nice and dry, a character that I really love in a saison - sadly, this one suffers from just too many damn ingredients and a poor hop profile - the grains quickly start to muddy things up - the bitterness is crisp at first, but then becomes increasingly too prominent, and eventually becomes soapy in the finish - lean malts and a flinty character are nice, but the other elements become unpleasant after a while.

Hazy golden beer with fluffy white head that deflates down to a thin cover. Flavor of light malt, some rye, and a moderate hoppy finish.
