Clear, mahogany brown body is topped by a small, drab tan head showing low retention.
Brown sugar, light red grape and lots of prune. Vanilla and honey sweetness is intense, with a huge honey nose. I like the vinousness and honey fermentation characteristics despite thishaving no honey. The coffee is super low key here. Citrus honey, with dark chocolate. No alcohol though and no flaws. Smells spicy/phenolic and mead-like.
Thin, stale coffee, with bread, alcohol, black pepper, huge grass and massively astringent black licorice. Dry, overly so, palate, with soft, malty notes and tight carbonation, but there’s just way too much black pepper and grassy astringent bitterness. The coffee is vegetal and beany. Very boozey as well.

Flavor has a decent amount of roast. The coffee is intense but also lightly astringent. Maybe a tad over excoriated coffee? The alcohol is here but not overwhelming. All thing said, pretty decent. I love adjunct coffee stouts !
Poured from bottle thanks Willrunforbeer coffee color pour with a nice mocha head. Aromas of sweet cold brewed coffe vanilla. Taste is nice full flavored coffee and then the booze hits you.

750ML split 6 ways at fridge temp. reddish brown to black. Smells fantastic. Super acidic and sweet roasted cold brew coffee with a bit of espresso. loads of coffee. that pretty much is all I taste. Pours a ruby to need dark brown/black. Initial aroma is nutty and fruity coffee, taste is slightly bitter but mostly sweet. Maybe some chicory too. The stout roastiness is pretty well covered up by the intensity of the coffee. Super super smooth for 12%. Bule (2239) - California, USA - JUL 17, 2016

Bottle. Poured hazy dark brown color with an average frothy tan head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy roasted coffee and chocolate aroma. Medium to abundant body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy roasted coffee sweet flavor with a medium to heavy complex sweet finish of moderate to long duration. On tap @ City Beer. Not quite black with a nice finger or so of khaki/off-white foam. Starts off with some nice milk chocolate and roasted malt notes and certainly an enormous amount of coffee. Sort of creamy and a bit of a vanilla note to it. Kind of a hot, boozy finish, but the coffee flavor really shines through, as do bitter dark chocolate and molasses. Certainly an intense beer, but pretty nice.
