Pitch black with a tan head and good lacing. Aroma contains tons of fresh coffee beans and dark chocolate. The flavor is very bitter like a fresh cup of coffee some dark chocolate. Some alcohol present. Overall kick arse. solidfunk (9444) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - AUG 7, 2016
Some light coffee and lots of roast. This one is pretty well balanced actually, especially for these guys. Creamy consistency. Subtle nut and caramel. Among their better stouts. Tap at Red Apron. dfearnley (2343) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 6, 2016

Consummation: Coffee, soy, motor oil, and some caramel
Adjunct: Primarily coffee, with dark fruit, alcohol, and malt aromas; dark, but not entirely opaque black with a slight reddishness, but no head; this is strong and the alcohol is present, definitely something to consider sharing
Bottle. Pours black. Aroma and taste are tons of coffee, roasted malts, and chocolate. mcberko (19222) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 2, 2016
750mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of coffee and roasted malt. Flavour is full-bodied, with lots of roasted malt and coffee upfront, with some noticeable alcoholic notes on the finish. A little rough but decent.

Clear, mahogany brown body is topped by a small, drab tan head showing low retention.
Brown sugar, light red grape and lots of prune. Vanilla and honey sweetness is intense, with a huge honey nose. I like the vinousness and honey fermentation characteristics despite thishaving no honey. The coffee is super low key here. Citrus honey, with dark chocolate. No alcohol though and no flaws. Smells spicy/phenolic and mead-like.
Thin, stale coffee, with bread, alcohol, black pepper, huge grass and massively astringent black licorice. Dry, overly so, palate, with soft, malty notes and tight carbonation, but there’s just way too much black pepper and grassy astringent bitterness. The coffee is vegetal and beany. Very boozey as well.
750ml bottle from Julio’s. Pours dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is coffee. Somewhat over extracted coffee. Flavor is dark chocolate, dark, slightly overextracted coffee.
