Level 42 Bottleshare. Thanks to Leighton. Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Airy palate, semi dry and with decent fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts bringing reasonable dark chocolate. Mellow coffee. Spice on the back end, almost like chilli. Decent but lacks the normal Bruery punch.

Bottle shared in Canary Wharf - sourced from a European online bottle shop. Pours black-brown with a creamy, tan head. The nose holds dry chocolate, roasted malts, hearty coffee. Medium sweet flavour with nicely rounded chocolate character, some scorched earth bitterness, cocoa beans. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Moderately warming in the finish, with some ashy roast, bitter coffee, baking cocoa. Quite solid overall.

Bottle split at L42, thanks to Leighton K Smith, 19/10/17. Black with a decent tan head. Nose is big on coffee grinds, spice, dark fruit esters, mellow roast, dark malts. Taste comprises coffee, chocolate, spice, fruit cake, roast malts. Medium plus body, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light warming alcohol rip. Decent enough impy but far from Wow, I expected a bigger coffee hit.

Black color, small beige head. Some generic coffee aroma, and some alcohol perception, light glue, tar. Smooth mouthfeel, the body is not too thick; some flavor of dark caramel with a touch of cocoa, the alcohol is too strong, the coffee is mild, the final is lightly earthy.
I’m ok drinking some big Imperial Stout, but this one is boozy and lacks of grace.

mcberko (20305) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 2, 2016
750mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of coffee and roasted malt. Flavour is full-bodied, with lots of roasted malt and coffee upfront, with some noticeable alcoholic notes on the finish. A little rough but decent.

Bottle @ Fermentoren, Aarhus. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are candy sugar, roast malt, chocolate, vanilla and hops. Sweet finish.
