Poured from a bomber bought as reserve society into a The Bruery snifter a dark brown with a thin white head that dissipates fairly quickly.
Aroma is straight up BOOZY dark fruit caramel vanilla slightly malty?
Flavor is intensively raisin bourbon with a malty sweetness like caramel candy with a heavy splash of molasses.
Well carbonated & balanced well considering this is blend of two The Bruery Brews Saison De Lente & their Anniversary Ale. Both so well done!
Overall one of the best brews I have had in a long time. Glad I snagged 3!!

Poured from a bottle obtained at the Bruery. Aroma is of dark fruits, brown sugar, and booze. Appearance is a dark cloudy amber brown with a one finger light tan head. Taste is of prunes and molasses with a slight bitterness. Palate is very good with a pleasant amount of carbonation. Overall an excellent English Barleywine. Cheers. arnold931 (1263) - Iowa, USA - FEB 28, 2015
Bottle. Pours murky brown with tan head. Nose is caramel and alcohol. Taste is caramel and toffee. Delicious. Bacterial (2999) - Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA - FEB 7, 2014
Taste thanks to a dude sitting next to me at the Tasting Room who is a reserve society member. This was a great beer. Big bourbon and malty nose. Really nice taste, big and bourbon but still easy to drink, balanced by a strong malt profile with just enough bitterness. Thanks random dude! rxeight (3083) - Illinois, USA - JUN 19, 2014
Dark brown. Very boozy barleywine. Lots of caramel. The bourbon is there but almost overpowered by the strong beer. This is a solid barleywine. Not king Henry but on par with the beers below like moas.

Not a WHOLE lot different than the base, bcause the barrel still is the preveailing component. Maybe a little smaller with a quick earthy shot and touch of tart, but you really gotta work for it. Worthy addition ABUSEDGOAT (2759) - California, USA - FEB 12, 2014
Mahogany colored, moderate head, good lace and retention for the strength. Aroma of bourbon, caramel, chocolate, wood, alcohol, light hop bitterness. Full bodied, sweet, light alcohol in finish. Unlike some of their other offerings, it doesn’t come off as boozy, but make no mistake it’s still big. baraciisch (3234) - California, USA - MAR 1, 2014
Mahogany brown in color... Aroma of dark fruits, caramel, bourbon... Flavor is caramel, molasses, bourbon whiskey, oak, fairly boozy initially, but notes of spices, dry Brett on finish... Really great accident

Bomber. Brownish pour with decent off white head. Nose is a lot closer to the Anni beers than the saison. Malty with lots of toffee, vanilla and marshmallow. Tastes follows but with a slight funky bite. I have a real hard time calling this a BW (as the Bruery does) since it is just a blend of two non barleywines. Still a great beer although it is a fairly one dimensional "blend". hopdog (12510) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 19, 2014
750ml bottle. Poured a deep brown color with an averaged sized of white head. Woody (more in the aromas), bourbon (more in the tastes), vanilla, caramel, and some fruitiness. The alcohol will creep up on you (and it did on me the next morning when I woke up with a headache!).
