75 cl. bottle sampled @ "Er Klopt Iemand Op De Deur" Samson & Gert Bierproeving I. Thanks to PriorL & Mathieu87! Tasted side by side with Regular & Peaches version. Head only on sides off-white. Darker amber than others, almost ruby. Nose is surprisingly sweet, cola, cookie, toffee, cereal, caramel, wood, sweet spices with some bitter oak and faint funk, barnyard in the back. Oilier than others, soft to little carbonation. I have had kumquat only in liqueur & jam but I have heard of them as being very bitter so why is this so sweet? Nice but very odd beer. I liked this one least.

Head gone in secs, hazy amber-copper beer. Pure kumquat and sucade nose, very obvious, perfumed. perfumed-aromatic, bitterish and sour, in a well-balanced way. Long-lasting citrus flavours, quite complex, in-depth flavourprofile. Titillating MF, light to medium bodied, quite slick. Surprisingly better than the standard version. I want more of this combination!

Bottle share at RBAG. Cloudy golden pour light white foam. Aroma is sour tartness, funk, and some juicy fruit. Taste is sour up front, some citrus fruit towards the middle, with a mouthwatering citrus sour finish.

Sample at Kurtkeller 012: Bruery-tastic 01 on 05/16/2014. Hazy golden-amber color with a medium white head that diminishes steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of funky citrus, yeast and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of tangy kumquats and citrus, yeast and bready malt. The finish is dry and fruity with a lingering lemon and kumquats aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

Bottle shared at the Swamp Head Bottle Drop. Pours slightly murky orange colored with a fluffy white to off white head on top. Beautiful aroma of sour vinegar, tropical fruit, and the light spice I get from the regular SitR. Flavor follows with light sourness that is sweetened up by the semisweet and tart kumquats, clean crisp finish with a lingering fruity flavor left on the palate. My wife, not being a fan of most beers, actually even really enjoyed this one. The fruit balances the sour perfectly here and creates a new beer that retains the beautiful sour flare that I love in the regular version. A little more heft than the regular version, creamy yet crisp, sweet and tart, with medium plus carbonation. I would have this one again and again.
