On tap at Gourmet Haus Staudt in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is slightly fruity (maybe peach, stone fruit), a mild earthy funkiness. Taste is tart, dry (but a good amount of wet fruit notes in there), malty body, some earthy funk. A well-rounded sour (tart, fruity, funky) with great style / character. Very drinkable. Pretty sour! Some fruity undertones but a straight forward sour. Great for a hot day.

Vinegar, red fruit, a lot tartness. Very much in the flanders area
Slightly cloudy amber beer with a distinct orange hue and a thin, virtually non-existent, off-white head that disappears immediately. Sour, funky nose of rice wine vinegar, lemon juice, and heady spice. Flavor is quite sour dominated by a puckering lemony explosion in the mouth followed by layers of spice, including clove, cinnamon, and cardamon. Finishing with a slight bitterness that barely cuts through the sour funk, this is an interesting Belgian style sour ale, but the rye is essentially lost. manomarnypopis (57) - POLAND - NOV 23, 2016
