Bottle: Poured a hazy peachy color ale with a nice large foamy head with limited retention and some light lacing. Aroma of lactic acid notes with quite a bit of vinegar and some oak notes is OKish. Taste is mostly dominated by loads of vinegary notes with some oak and a high-level of acid notes. Body is full for style with good carbonation. I don’t get what the fuss is with this beer. I thought it was really one-dimensional and acidity level wad too high for my liking. Palme (4811) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUL 4, 2016
0.75l bottle from Whole Foods Market Tribeca enjoyed at our hotel room. This is a lovely blurry glowing peach orange one with a small light off-white top. It has a sour and fruity aroma with sour peaches, some lemon and lemon zest, some paint thinner, really bretty and there is perhaps a swiff of dark burned rye bread in here. It smells really nice that’s for sure. Nice flavors and the rye is more present here. Lots of sour fruits like sour peaches, grapefruit, picketed lemons and tart wood. The mouthfeel is light oily and it has a average carbonation level. Fantastic refreshing. Shouldn’t, but I think I will finish this bottle here and now before lunch.. 23.06.2013 robinvboyer (4666) - Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 2, 2016
Cloudy brown pour, huge beige head. Incredible funky, lactose, fruity Aroma. The sour is strong. Lovely mouth feel, soft carb. The finish is incredibly fruity, especially cherry, and apples, with some woody, earthy barrel. As it warms the sourness gets more pungent and strong. Incredible wild ale. SinH4 (4794) - Garching b. Bottle, thanks sebilinz! Cloudy amber color with tan head. Aroma is peach, stone, dirty (even reminds me of some Schaerbeekse stuff), spicy. Nice hints of sweetness, good sour punch, pucking finish. Medium carbonation. Better than expected. willisread (3342) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - JUN 19, 2016
2015 Bottle shared. Thanks Eric! Big gooseberry and tart cherry notes dominate the nose. Some earthiness comes out as it warms. Some sherry like creamy vanilla feel on the palate with some light peppery rye notes. The rye feels quite muted though. Quite tart, but still pretty enjoyable.

From a 50 cl bottle. Hazy orange, low head. Peppery, slightly vinegary aroma. Medium bodied, medium carbonation. Dry and sharply sour, a bit acetic. bursprak (3203) - Aarhus, DENMARK - APR 18, 2016
Bottle split with the DB boyz. Hazy dark golden pour with a fizzy head. Notes of citrus, peaches, pineapple, woody vanilla, light tannins and some grains. Christos (5779) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - APR 17, 2016
(Bruery Terreux Sour in the Rye) Bottle 750 ml as Sour In The Rye, bought at De Molen shop a couple of years ago if I remember well. Served into a tulip, ABV 7.8%, so must be vintage 2013.
Dark brown red colour on the body, hazy and murky but that’s my fault since I took it in a trip with me and back home when I didn’t drink it there, as a result it was llying the whole time and even the bottle’s neck wias covered with yeast. Small light beige head on top, with average retention.
Very nice aroma with rye, red grapes, wood, plenty of vinous notes, faint sugars, yeast.
Taste is sour with red grapes, again lots of vinous notes, wood, light candy sugar, sour cherries, caramel, berries, very complex.
Medium thin body with good amount of carbonation, nicely tart on the palate.
Very good. RasmusOtt (2763) - Aarhus, DENMARK - APR 17, 2016
Bottle. Pours orange amber with a tiny white head. Aroma of funky basement, oak, vinegar, leather, weak pepper and some brett. The taste has notes of leather, vinegar, vanilla, oat, goose berries and slight cherry/strawberries as well. Seriously good and underrated imo! well balanced sour! Looks great, clear amberish, with some red. Thin white head that fades. Smells vaguely acidic, but unremarkable. The taste is mostly sweet, with stone fruit overtones, but also features some flowery notes. I was overall unimpressed considering the massive reputation of the beer, but considering what it was I also firmly approved of the acid/sweet. If anything, I was looking for a drier finish and more sour, but that could just be personal bias.
