COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sourrento is a sour ale that was inspired by the lemon flavored spirt, Limoncello which hails from the city of Sorrento, Italy. To create this unique, sweetly sour flavor, we aged our sour blonde ale with both lemon zest and fresh vanilla beans. The resulting beer is somewhere between a classic sour ale, a delightful Italian apertif, and a lemon meringue pie.

Pouring at Where The Wild Beers Are 2015. Pours a hazed gold with a thin white head. Soft funk, acid, lemon on the nose. Medium-bodied, floral, bright and acidic. Vanilla comes through boldly, chewy with some funk. Long acid, big vanilla.

Bottle. Pours mostly clear gold with white head. Aroma is vanilla, lemon, sour citrus, soft malt notes, and faint oak. Flavor is a big, delicious dose of citrus acidity/tartness up front with some nice, soft vanilla and malt flavors hidden behind the citrus. Light body.

shimmering gold, thin small bubbled white ring. Spicy perfume and spice rack nose dominates. Bright sourness contrasts with salt, celery with heavy perfume, sticky and thin but zesty carb, chalk lasts forever, vanilla bean sweetness lingering in the end.

750ml bottle pours a hazy gold with a ring of white head. Nose has green vanilla beans and cardamom, candlewax, passion fruit, white grape. Flavor is odd, green spice pods and tart grapefruit lurking, butryic acid. Full bodied finish. Weird.

Bottle at the DC Expanded Sour Tasting. Poured a hazy yellow with off-white head. Vanilla and light lemon zest notes. Light sweet vanilla bean ice cream notes. Very sweet. Aroma is great to me though.

From a 75 cl bottle shared at Travlr’s sour beer tasting. Pours a hazy gold with a thin white head. Bandaid nose. Flavors of licorice and lemon. Interesting and tasty.

Bottle courtesy of GenDV138, thank you! Cloudy golden yellow color, white head. Aroma of freshly baked pie crust. Taste has softly sour lemon tarts or biscuits. Interesting. Nothing like limoncello, but tasty anyway.

fantastically drinkable sour despite the acidity. lemons and vanilla on the nose and palate. Really cool combo of lemon lime, sour and vanilla. Smooth body begs for another sip. 4.3 may be selling it short even.

Bottle thanks to Will. Pours a hazy orange gold with medium white head that lasts. The aroma is strong vanilla bean and funk. Thin mouth, very tart, sweetness from vanilla, lemon, really good.
