COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sourrento is a sour ale that was inspired by the lemon flavored spirt, Limoncello which hails from the city of Sorrento, Italy. To create this unique, sweetly sour flavor, we aged our sour blonde ale with both lemon zest and fresh vanilla beans. The resulting beer is somewhere between a classic sour ale, a delightful Italian apertif, and a lemon meringue pie.

This beer pours a hazy orange color with a thin white head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring.Short strings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of citrus, wheat and subtle vanilla. Medium-bodied with flavors of lemons, oak, wheat and vanilla. The finish is moderately tart with a citrus and vanilla aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Bottle shared by Tony. Pours hazy light golden color with white head. Aromas of sour lemon, vanilla, and some spices. Sour lemon flavor with some vanilla and wood. Reminds me of key lime pie. Medium body with average carbonation. Weird but good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDiSYp_51iY

Syndicate hooked up this gem at an impromptu Saturday night tasting.. Pours pretty hazy pale yellow.. White head rises up and dies back just as quickly. Nose shows interesting mix of lemon zest and vanilla with some weird background spiciness that I am having a hard time picking out.. Flavor is just a odd as the aroma with definite lemon zest and oaky vanilla.. A bit of barrel presence that makes me think viognier... This would be so much better without all the vanilla... the vanilla is out of place and is very distracting in something that could be very refreshing... I love Limoncello, but this has a ways to go. Thanks Darrel.. Really glad I got a chance to try it... Next time, we will drink it next to a proper Limoncello.

Pours a slightly hazy blonde with almost no head. It has a nice aroma of vanilla and coconut with a lemon background. The flavor is tart lemon up front with a great vanilla and coconut finish over a medium body. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Shared 750ml to snifters. Blonde and fizzy. Tart but a huge vanilla flavor. Somewhat like a cheesecake tart and key lime pie. Where’s my tums?

(750 bottle) cloudy light gold, fine white bubbles. Nose of vanilla, lemon/lime, salt, lime peel. Taste of lime, salt, vanilla, perfectly sour, wet wood, very neat and balanced beer.

This was shared by Jeff at the Pig. Small snifters. Pours a cloudy yellow-orange with decent head. Aroma is lemon, lemon drop candy, vanilla, and cereal. Some slight funky notes. The taste is quite lemon dominant with the sour lemon candy notes, vanilla, sweet cream, tart zest, and cereal. Sprite carbonation. Finish is tart and vanilla beans. This is an odd beer...but I get it. I give them an A for effort.

Bottle - Pours hazy golden with a filmy white head. Nose is mellow vanilla cream with lemon curd. Really decadent. Taste is lemon curd, vanilla, whipped cream, and a little pie crust. Watery with mellow carbonation. Really tasty.

750ml. 11/5/14. Quite sour. Lots of Lemon. Vanilla on the very back end. Definitely has a refreshing limoncello flavor going on.

750ml bottle. Poured a golden color with an averaged sized head. Different. Citrus, lemons, vanilla, some wood, and tart / sour finish. Found it a little salty too.
