COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Monastic breweries wrote the book on complex ales that weave notes of dark fruits, spices, caramelized character and warmth into each sip. The Order summons that tradition and adds local inspiration. Our darkening, Belgian-inspired abbey ale features dark-fruited character from dates, Belgian-style sugars and subtle spicing from coriander, which compliments the Belgian yeast esters.

The aroma is sweet, dates, caramel, Belgium yeast. Pours a copper/brown with light beige head, mostly lasting and excellent lacing. The taste is medium sweet. The body is medium, the texture creamy, the carbonation fizzy and the finish long. Pretty good!

mcberko (17825) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 27, 2017
Bottle at PIB 2017, pours a hazy chestnut brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of candied sugars, Belgian yeast and lots of esters. Flavour is very sugary and cloying, with lots of esters and bubblegum. I don’t know how this has good ratings - a sugary, boozy sweet mess. Very bad.
