COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Monastic breweries wrote the book on complex ales that weave notes of dark fruits, spices, caramelized character and warmth into each sip. The Order summons that tradition and adds local inspiration. Our darkening, Belgian-inspired abbey ale features dark-fruited character from dates, Belgian-style sugars and subtle spicing from coriander, which compliments the Belgian yeast esters.

On tap at Capitol Hop Shop. Pours dark gold with a thick off-white head and a fruity aroma. There is a hearty pale malt flavor with lots of fruit and a little banana ester.

Pours a hazy burnt orange on tap with fluffy white head that dissipates to leave good lace. Aroma of big spicy Belgian yeast esters, some stone fruit and preserve notes, and a hint of booze. Taste is even more of the fruit, even more of the spice, light booze. Really solid for an American take.

Tap at Cap Hop. Pours a mix of darkly ruddy and amber. Aroma of spicy dark fruits is quite pleasing. Definitely not pie spice. Med ++ body. Flavor is kandy, dark date/fig, mild non-clove spice and some pretty sweetish darkish malt - not quite brown sugar. Pretty far from dry, very far from bitter. Very tasty. Perfect evening sipper. Recommended.

Piana obfita, nieco mydlana, barwa miedziana, opalizująca. W aromacie rodzynki, cukier kandyzowany i delikatne przyprawy. Smak dość słodki, głównie suszone owoce, kandyzowane morele, daktyle, czerwony pieprz. Goryczka dość niska, migdałowo głogowa. Wysycenie średnie, pikantny posmak, lekko wyklejające, nie gęste w odbiorze.

Ot poprawne, dość klasyczne BSA, z mało wyrazistymi dodatkami.

Sweet dark fruit. Hints of spice. Caramel Amber with a thick light tan to off white head. Decent retention. Tons of lacing. Super sweet. Almost too sweet. Dark fruit. Toffee. A little spice. Pretty good except for the sweetness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, shared with Parksy and others at the lake. Medium aber with a creamy ecru head. Quite phenolic, cloves and some banana/bubblegum traits bring this close to a big bodied weizenbock. Enjoyable.

Tap at St. Augustine's. Deep amber, hazy, with lace. Sweet and estery, cherries, melon, strawberry. Smooth and full with a spicy finish and notes of ginger. Good stuff.

Sort of a hazy pale brown-amber colour. No head. Sweet, little bit of bubblegum, quite fruity, with a touch of tartness. Sticky, sweet, and again with some phenols.
