Bottle. Pours murky dark amber-brown with small frothy beige head, faintly acidic fruity aroma, high carbonation, mildly bitter earthy caramel malt taste with brown sugar, date and spices, somewhat thick body, long earthy/spicy finish with a bit of throat burn. Quite complex and interesting. balloonbuffoon (803) - - JAN 14, 2018
25.4floz (750ml) bottle, no date, bought on sale about six months ago for about $6, tulip glass. Pours with a stable one finger head atop a burgundy-brown body, which in the light hues of orange glow. Notes of raisin, toffee, and general spices are apparent in the nose, and likewise tasted. Body is full, has alcohol warmth, and a twang. A pretty good strong dark Belgian style ale with spices. commonshawn (1344) - Minnesota, USA - JAN 8, 2018
Big bottle with commonmac during college football championship. Mahogany color with thick off white head. Fruity nose, dark fruits with boozy aroma. Sweet, fuzzy, dark fruit flavor, . Quad like taste. High sugar, spicy, high carbonation, medium body. Really nice touch with the heavy spice element. Less yeast than a belgian quad. Has a bit of a winter ale feel, within this style. Excellent. commonmac (1381) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JAN 8, 2018
UPDATED: JAN 9, 2018 Large 750ml bottle consumed during College Football Championship with commonshawn. Beautiful reddish brown or mahogany if you want to be a little more fancy. Nose has dark fruit characteristics and plenty of sweetness. Taste follows suit with dark fruit like dates/figs at the forefront. Good spicy qualities...much more prevalent than other Belgian efforts. Sweetness prevails especially as it finishes. Alcohol warmth comes through. Maybe a little bit too thin to be considered great. Very impressed overall. I'll order another one. erikaraeb (326) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 2, 2018
Creamy, smooth mouthfeel. Like a balanced quad with less bitterness, complete with dates, raisins, figs, resin, bread, and a bit of chocolate. Layered without losing you. Opaque roan in color with persistent head.

UPDATED: DEC 28, 2017 Bottle compliments of Zac. Pours a cloudy brown color with a small khaki head. Aroma of sugar and syrup with dark malt. The flavor brings in some ripe fruit. Tasty. zalfv (4) - - DEC 24, 2017 does not count
Smooth and silky, not very spicy as the description suggests but very much taste of dates and pit fruits (apricots). Pours a nice head and remains lacy for a long time. Some yeast flavor, slightly malty.
8/10 Belgian quad , would definitely drink regularly if I was back home in California near this brewery
