Bottle: Muddy, dense, & slightly red-tinted copper, brown-ish body with a beige head that fizzles out to a small collar instantly. Aroma of mild tart, acidic cherry skins, berries, lemon flesh, lactic acid, mild yogurt, vinous oak, & a hint of booziness that shines through. Smells tart as hell. Tastes tart as hell. Acetic sourness, mild vinegar, lemon, lactic acid, cherry skin, vinous grapes, faint raspberry seediness. Sharp oak & dry, acidic finish with a mild acetic burn going down. A very nice sour for sourheads.

Sampled via bottle at WTWBA 2014 in Minneapolis. Murky amber pour. Tart / sour dark fruit and cherry. Wood comes out. Very good.

This poured an orange color with a white head. Aroma was of dark fruit skins and vinegar. Flavor was similar, teeth ripping ascetic acid, vinegar and fruit. Meh.

Le côté vineux est en symbiose avec l’armada de fruits juteux. Un brett bien gras et sauvage fait le lien vers le bois et l’acidité est dosé avec flair. Buvabilité confiturée.

Tasted on 9/27/14 from a capped 750mL bottle, huge thanks to Churnt-up for sharing. Pours hazy burnt orange with a thin tan head that leaves a thin color of lace. The nose is a bit of dark caramel malt with a ton of blackberry and cherry, plenty of coconut and vanilla oak influence. The flavor is the lightly sweet malt and tons of oak influence, very sour funk, and fresh, natural blackberry and cherry. The body is medium and tannic with just above average carbonation and a long funky sour, and very fruity finish.

Poured an amber color with aromas of tart cherries, light vinegar, a touch of stinky foot, and some light fruit. Flavors matched the aromas, less the feet notes. Decent cherries come through, solid overall.

A big want that I’m glad the Bruery made. Bottle thanks to Chris! A: Cloudy, murky brown body. Creme colored head. Decent lacing. N: Oak, cherry, vinegar, acetone, tobacco, blackberry, cabernet grape, lemon, and what I swear is cocoa. T: Intensely sour. Maybe a hint of sweetness, but that’s a big maybe. M: Moderate carb. Medium body; touch of oiliness. O: Seems like Oude Tart with a hint of blackberry juice. It just doesn’t blow my mind, and I’d much rather have BW XII.

"Long time wish list beer, worth the wait. Dark malty sour brew with a really nice berry aspect to the nose and especially flavor. Had the whole leather and tobacco thing going on, with blackberries and a hint of cherry in there too. Medium sour and funk. Good stuff. Gladit was made again."

Bottle. Gusher. Murky purple, large tan coca-cola head. Aroma of sour grapes, cherries, white wine. Taste is softly sour summer fruit. Hi carbonation
