COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Summer seasonal, Trade Winds Tripel is a Belgian-style Golden Ale with a Southeast Asian twist. Instead of using candi sugar (typical for such a beer), we use rice in the mash to lighten the body and increase the gravity, and spice with Thai Basil. The result is an aromatic, digestible and complex beer made for a lazy summer evening. (ABV: 8%, IBU: 25, SRM: 5, Release: Summer, Format: 750 mL bottles)

Bomber to glass - beautiful! Pours a hazed orange-straw, strong, two finger white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, coriander, banana, maybe clove. Medium bodied, kinda creamy, yet has a carbonated bite. Taste is tart sugar cane, sun drenched apricot and banana, hay, spice towards the end with a little bit of burn down the hatch. Good beer.

Bottle. Deep clear orange-amber with an off-white lasting head. Aroma of bubblegum, basil, white pepper, phenol. Tastes sweet, a little herbal, and lightly spiced. Medium bodied and lightly dry.

On tap at Blue Moose, East Grand Forks. Orange body. Get notes of belgian candi. Dry finish. I don’t get the Asian notes in this, but over all a nice quality tripel.
