COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Summer seasonal, Trade Winds Tripel is a Belgian-style Golden Ale with a Southeast Asian twist. Instead of using candi sugar (typical for such a beer), we use rice in the mash to lighten the body and increase the gravity, and spice with Thai Basil. The result is an aromatic, digestible and complex beer made for a lazy summer evening. (ABV: 8%, IBU: 25, SRM: 5, Release: Summer, Format: 750 mL bottles)

belgian candy sugar flavor with a hazy golden colour, in UK. hahaha. Thin white head with a watery minerally appearance. Adjectives. Its quite sweet tasting for me to like it too much, esp. as far as beer goes. I guess most of the high scores are from sugar loving America!

Gold pour, small white head. Amazing banana aroma with notes of cloves, pepper, and yeast. Intense flavor, similar, with hints of what I want to say is Hibiscus but is probably something else. A damn good trip.

Bottle shared, thanks Will. Rich apricot esters, marmalade, very saison-like funkness, floral and herbal notes, fairly dry finish, alcohol well hidden. Pretty solid stuff, very Belgian, they did pretty well for such an unusual style in the States.

Bottle shared along the old (now underground) river in Koenji. Pours a slightly hazy yellow gold with 2 fingers of soapy foam. Wonderful light farmhouse Belgian nose with light apricot and stone fruit esters from the yeast and a bit of koji. Feels light on the palate, with good carbonation and a well-rounded slight softness from the rice. Nice lemony, grassy finish with some light bitterness...hides the abv magically. Really nice tripel / super saison hybrid.

Pours a bright orange with light head. Has a very strong citrus orange aroma with with wheat, yeast, pine and spices. A strong taste of sweet citrus orange, fruits, wheat, yeast, pine, grains and spices. A dry yeast and malt and sweet citrus aftertaste.

Draft at the source on 6/26/2016. Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of banana, pear, spice, and yeast. Taste is similar to nose, with some subtle basil notes coming through. Good.

Clear golden orange pour with a dense lasting white head. Aroma is candi sugar, bready, yeasty and clove. Taste follows. Didnt get any basil that I was hoping for. Dry finish. Light body. Standard tripel.
