On tap at the Bruery’s 1st anniversary party 5/16/09: Pours a cloudy orange amber with a thin ring of off white bubbles. Aroma of sweet caramel, light semi-tart fruits and doughy malt. Starts with decent fullness and Belgian malty sweetness with some aged fruity complexity and doughy Belgian yeast along with some grassy noble hops. Has a slightly warming finish and some lingering bittersweetness. HighWine (959) - Whalezbro, Illinois, USA - AUG 13, 2009

On tap. Pours a slightly hazy dark amber with a firm and creamy beige head with good retention. Intensely sweet aroma with lots of caramel, wood, Sherry and alcohol. Very full-bodied again with woody notes and hints of Sherry. Extremely warming alcohol in the finish. Nice one. 060709 bhensonb (15079) - Woodland, California, USA - JUL 3, 2009
Tap at Sac Brew. Pours a dark orangey brown with a significant orange tinged beige head. Aromas of caramel and citrus? Full bodied with mild carbonation. Flavor of sweetish roasted caramel, spice and citrus. There’s a pervading fruitiness that seems plummy. Almost seems to be a bit of canteloupe. Nice mouthfeel. A bit sweet, but not sticky. Finishes with a slightly balancing tartness, but dry it is not. Reminds of an aged strong ale in some aspects. Good experience. ajm (1072) - Los Angeles, California, USA - JUN 24, 2009
The last of a keg at City Beer. Nose of kids medicine, lollipop, roast, brown sugar, dark fruit. Really nice old ale. Doesn’t have the complexity of some (kinda fixes on sweet) but very full and warming.
