Pours a hazed orange with no head. Intense aromas of bacterial funk, crotch cheese, vagina. Intense. Fecal. Necrophelia. Sharp. Like an orgy of fine French cocks in my mouth. Finishes with a burst of homoerotic. Jesus. This beer is damn near perfect. Smurf2055 (1400) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 5, 2013
Pours hazy tangerine with a small white, quick dissipating head.
Smell huge white wine and oak, vinous and spritzy, big funky brett presence.
Taste sweet and sour, peach and lactic, brett, funk, honey and vanilla cream, earthy finish. Very strong flavor, not that deep but amazing sour, tart, and funk.
Smooth and light/medium body.

hazy golden color. Flat, no head. Very very sour nose with lemon juice, oak and a bit of chard. The mouth isn’t nearly as tart as the nose.
The finish changes many different directions with a interesting saltiness in the end. Chard character also pops up more in the finish. Great depth. Lots of oak and chard in the mouth. merc7186 (3142) - North Tonawanda, New York, USA - NOV 8, 2013

Overall, pretty solid wine barrel sour beer, nice chardonnay, not much sweet grape flavor.

Bottle thanks to Elliot. Pours a cloudy yellow gold with paperthin white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is oak, grapes, and funk. Thin mouthfeel with strong wine grape and oak with light sour finish. Held up very well, really enjoyed this one. kathouse (1893) - LAS VEGAS, Nevada, USA - MAY 12, 2014
My final rating from Sucréversary 2014, but not the least important. I agree that this does not taste like "beer". It has ALL the characteristics of a Chardonnay. Buttery mouthfeel, vanilla, white stone fruits, and grapes. Only oddity is the light carbonation and slight sourness. Unique and important. slowrunner77 (12044) - Reno, Nevada, USA - APR 3, 2015
2012 - a very pleasantly funky and acidic sour. not quite bracingly, but close. dusty, funky, citric, very wine like, but funkier! BMan1113VR (7931) - Los Angeles, California, USA - MAR 8, 2012
Bottle. Been looking forward to this for nearly 2 years (this was suppose to be the Bruery’s biere de champagne project). Pours with a slightly fizzy white head that fades quick (even when poured as a basque cider). Hazed golden body. Aromas are awesome: great funk, acid, tons of grape, chardonnay, bright acid, barnyard, a bit of acetic, lots of wood, vanillin and caramelization. Amazingly good aroma. Berries and distinct chardonnay. Flavors are pretty insane. Acidic and elegant. Massive chardonnay grapes, that are a bit too acidic, a touch too funky, a bit thin, and with a little (little) bit too much carbonation. (note to self: homebrew a brett C chard with a bit of carbonation: BOSS!). I’m okay with it tasting like straight chard. Huge florals, oak, bright fruit (tropical, stone, grape and green). Acidity is elegant with mild funk. Huge wine character with mild acetobacter. This is wine beer, and I love this! Amazingly good. Like a wine (I put pinot blanc in my notes for some reason), but a mild effervescence, with a huge acidity. It doesn’t need the carb. Medium to low body, dry, puckering, brilliant and tannic. Long duration. Transcending beer. kevinriel (4) - Claremont, California, USA - MAR 27, 2012 does not count
pours a rustic yellow, straw color. aroma is bready, citrusy, and floral. nice tasting sour: green apple, cut grass, butterscotch. The chardonnay profile is very slight with slight oak. would have loved more of it to come through. tasted more like a viognier. still, rad beer. even for the beer-cynical: my mother-in-law loved it.
