COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The primary component of our “White Oak” ale is a 100% barrel aged wheat wine that we affectionately refer to as “White Oak Sap.” Essentially a “summer” barley-wine style ale, but made with a wheat heavy grain base, White Oak Sap is aged in used bourbon barrels for nearly a year and comes out rich in flavors of coconut, honey, caramel and vanilla. To compliment the already rich flavors of the beer, we’ve added cacao nibs and vanilla beans to give this beer the delicate flavor of white chocolate…hence the name.
2015 Release = 16.6% ABV. ABV varies by vintage.

Incredible vanilla, clean profile, tons of bourbon, cocoa, fruits, fresh, caramel, green walnut, some coffee. Fizzy, small head, sweet, dry, little sour. Incredible aroma, in mouth little worse. Overall - must have for Barley wine lovers.

UPDATED: OCT 3, 2017 Golden orange to yellow beer with nice smallish head on top. Aroma has toffee fudge, white chocolate, hazelnut, almond milk, umami maybe? Vanilla, Bourbon. Taste starts with vanilla, white chocolate, hazelnut, almond milk, Bourbon wood, cocoa. Alcohol warms in the throat but this is not boozy at all. Full body and medium carbonation. How complex and beautiful beer.

UPDATED: OCT 3, 2017 Hazy dark orange. Intense white chocolate aroma mixed with sweet wine. Also toffee. Complex. Strong. Kick back. Some nutty, coco and bourbon flavors. Boom. This is a dessert.

Hazy amber pour with a thin off white head and light lacing .... aroma of honey, vanilla, caramel malts, roasted malts, syrup, coconut, light bourbon and oak .... taste is of vanilla, caramel malts, roasted malts, honey, syrup, coconut, dry oak, bourbon flavor comes in on the backend .... lots of barleywine character in the flavor .... finish has lots of vanilla, bourbon and syrup with a dry spicy bite .... rich and spicy brew, full bodied and the abv is hidden well

Would be really good if it was higher ABV. Aroma is light vanilla and taste is just a hint of vanilla but it’s just too weak tasting. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This is a good brew. Chocolate toast for sure and quite boozy without the warmpth. The brightness mellows out the acidity and gives way to the semi-sweetness found in the malt. This is an overall wonderful recipe and the vanilla mellows out nicely. Well done.

750ml bottle, 2017 vintage. Rich chocolate aroma with notes of vanilla, caramel, bourbon, honey, wheat malt and some coconut. Pours cloudy, light caramel colored with a thin off white head that has some retention and lacing. Starts with decadent chocolate and caramel with a little bit of wheat malt and honey as well as a smooth mouthfeel and rich, full body. Finishes smooth with excellent vanilla, bourbon and light coconut with a boozy warming ending. Rich, luxurious and delicious.

Bardzo bogaty i intensywny aromat słodowy piwa. Dominuje tytułowa czekolada, wanilia, melasa, miód. Suszone, kandyzowane owoce jak figi, rodzynki. Niuanse beczki charakterystyczne dla dębiny. Mocne, zdecydowanie charakterne w smaku.
