The primary component of our “White Oak” ale is a 100% barrel aged wheat wine that we affectionately refer to as “White Oak Sap.” Essentially a “summer” barley-wine style ale, but made with a wheat heavy grain base, White Oak Sap is aged in used bourbon barrels for nearly a year and comes out rich in flavors of coconut, honey, caramel and vanilla. To compliment the already rich flavors of the beer, we’ve added cacao nibs and vanilla beans to give this beer the delicate flavor of white chocolate…hence the name.
2015 Release = 16.6% ABV. ABV varies by vintage.

Bottle, head dissipated quickly. Best way to describe the aroma is sour butter and wheat. Smells like dough. No lacing, wheat beer hefe coloring. Maybe darker. Holy hell, you would never expect that taste of it didn?t say white chocolate on the bottle.I feel like I got kicked in the mouth with an army boot made of chocolate. The aftertaste even gives me the flavors of a Hersheys white chocolate cookies and cream. Although the carbonation looks for, it?s still presently present. This only lost points in appearance and aroma. At 14.25% this is pushing not beer lol. Very happy with this. It was a trade for a hunahpu. After further drinking, the white chocolate flavor backed off and I’m getting orange and bourbon flavors. Really surprising beer.

Opálos, vörösréz szín, piciny hab. Tejcsokoládés, vaníliás illat. Édes, karamelles, vaníliás ízvilág. Gazdag test, krémes állag. Ajánlott társaságban fogyasztani.

Piana kremowa, średnio trwała, barwa miedziana, opalizująca. Aromat zdominowany piękną wanilią, do tego troszkę czekolady, rodzynek, miodu i białego wina. Klasa! W smaku sporo słodyczy, są dojrzałe winogrona, miód, wanilia, kokos, biała czekolada do tego znów posmak białego wina, szampana i intensywnie rozgrzewający bourbon. Goryczka niska, taniczna.

W aromacie wyrazna kwaskowosc, drozdze, owoce, wanilia beczka. Barwa pomaranczowa, lekko zamglona z niewielka i slaba piana. W smaku kwaskowosc, wanilia, drozdze, nieco beczki. Alkohol u?o?ony ale piwo wyraznie skwasniale. Dopiero na finiszu biala czekolada.

Incredible vanilla, clean profile, tons of bourbon, cocoa, fruits, fresh, caramel, green walnut, some coffee. Fizzy, small head, sweet, dry, little sour. Incredible aroma, in mouth little worse. Overall - must have for Barley wine lovers.

Unde (1149) - Helsinki, FINLAND - OCT 3, 2017
UPDATED: OCT 3, 2017 Golden orange to yellow beer with nice smallish head on top. Aroma has toffee fudge, white chocolate, hazelnut, almond milk, umami maybe? Vanilla, Bourbon. Taste starts with vanilla, white chocolate, hazelnut, almond milk, Bourbon wood, cocoa. Alcohol warms in the throat but this is not boozy at all. Full body and medium carbonation. How complex and beautiful beer.
