COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Early summer, this barrel aged wheat wine is coming out very nicely (12% ABV) White Oak is a blended beer-- 50% wheatwine aged in Bourbon barrels (we call it "White Oak Sap"), and 50% Mischief (our Golden Strong Ale). Vivid caramel, coconut and vanilla flavors blanketed in a crisp yet robust wheat ale, White Oak is an exercise of balance.

Pour is hazy orange with a fluffy white head. Aroma is boozy, lots of vanilla and oak, lots of fruity esters, light breadiness, some caramel, banana and some earthy grassy notes. Lots of vanilla on the taste too, white grapes, fruity esters, some oak, wheat, light fruity hops and a touch of caramel. Pretty tasty, reminds me of Allagash Curieux.

Bottle from Hopt.nl, shared with Benzai and skortila, 25 cl sample. Slight hazy golden color, short frothy head. Aroma is spicy and grainy, slight sweet caramel and maple syrup and has a bit of autumn leaves or oak wood notes. Quite sweet of maple syrup and vanilla, slight spicy yeast, perfumy alcohol. Nice.

AgentAle (1743) - Alberta, CANADA - FEB 18, 2017
Aroma is light grape sweetness, lavinder, golden delicious apples, pears, and plum . Taste is sweet malts, caramel, apricot, plum, and sweet bourbon whisky notes. A light oakiness rounds it out the palette very nicely. Appearance is a hazy gold with a frothy pearl head that retains quite well. Top notch stuff.
