Super hazy plum red

22 oz. bottle. Reserve Society bottle. Looks like dirty pond water. Nose is silly sour and dirty vinegar. Maybe rhubarb aromas? Been a long time since I had a strawberry Rhubarb pie. Flavor is really acidic. I don’t think that this combination is really a nice thing for a brew. Overly tart and acidic. I don’t get raspberries or strawberries at all. 750ml bottle thanks to Justin. Pours a dark mahogany red with a tan head. Big tart raspberry aroma. Taste is the same.

Reddish tinted pour with a fluffy off white head. Nice and tart, juicy sourness. The rhubarb and raspberry are a good combo. Not sure how a pie would be, but the beer is nice. December 6, 2013 -bottle via trade. Dark orange pour with some head that faded quickly. Aroma was a nice sour raspberry with some oak. Taste was a bit too sour, but the oak was solid. Sampled at an ESBLS tasting. It poured a hazy copper color with a tan head. The aroma was of strawberry, raspberry, light tartness, lemon and a bit of mustiness. Bottle from RS membership. Aroma is tart raspberry and some rhubarb I guess. Flavor/palate hits you in the mouth with a very tart/sour, plasticky raspberry. Wasn't terribly impressed with this one. I didn't get any crust, and it wasn't sweet enough to pass as pie. Idk, don't call it a beer based on pie, and I like it better. Bottle:   Thick and dirty, reddish carmel, thin frothy white head, sparce lacing.   Tart yet sweet nose.   Seems a little like Raspberry jam before it gets its pectin sweetener.   Faint Rhubarb as well.   I can see this smelling like a pie, fer sure.   Bright and tart up front, acidic, vinegary, followed by the Rhubarb and Raspberry.   I would say Rhubarb dominates here.   Fairly dry, make that very dry.   Strong sweet vinegar with loads of acidity, almost bording on too much.   This would be one sour Pie!   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   Faint sweetness underlies this beer, but the dry tartness of it really dominates.   Acidity is strong too.   Best take some extra antacid tonight!   Decent beer, but at times bordering on too much.
