COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This isn’t the littlest Pale Ale and it isn’t the biggest Pale Ale but it’s OUR Pale Ale and it’s supported by a strong malt backbone. Familiar pale ale traits plus rich graininess, subtle spice and crisp mouthfeel from the rye, lots of caramel, black pepper, pine cones, and grapefruit zest with a well-rounded bittersweet finish. Pick it up and run with it, act like you stole it...as long as you paid for it we don’t care. Best yet, our Rye Pale Ale won Gold at the Great American Beer Festival!

Draft consumed from a pint glass, where it appears copper in color and a half finger head quickly dissipates. Mildly aromatic, and the flavor reflects its light caramel, toast qualities with some black pepper thrown in. Body is firmly medium, sessionable ale with a decent palate.

Not enough pale ale characteristics show through in this one. The rye completely takes over. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at brewery. Pours dark brown with a white head. Leaves some lacing in the glass. Solid rye and citrus notes on the nose. Solid rye on the tongue though not as pungent as I was hoping. Finished clean.
