Tasted 10/29/11. Pint from the Brewpub. Pours filtered with a caramel brown hue. Bubbled, bone white head. Aromas of caramel and brown sugar. Medium bodied with a solid malt bill. Medium roasted and toasty malts. Mildly burnt with a tasty rye bitterness. Mildly tart and tangy. Tastes very fresh and crisp. The finish is sticky and cloying to offset the dry malt flavors. Subtle cinnamon and peppery note. Mild cola sweetness and faint hops. Solid drinker!

Not enough pale ale characteristics show through in this one. The rye completely takes over. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
