Tasted 10/29/11. Pint from the Brewpub. Pours filtered with a caramel brown hue. Bubbled, bone white head. Aromas of caramel and brown sugar. Medium bodied with a solid malt bill. Medium roasted and toasty malts. Mildly burnt with a tasty rye bitterness. Mildly tart and tangy. Tastes very fresh and crisp. The finish is sticky and cloying to offset the dry malt flavors. Subtle cinnamon and peppery note. Mild cola sweetness and faint hops. Solid drinker!
Draft consumed from a pint glass, where it appears copper in color and a half finger head quickly dissipates. Mildly aromatic, and the flavor reflects its light caramel, toast qualities with some black pepper thrown in. Not enough pale ale characteristics show through in this one. The rye completely takes over.

Draft taproom pours golden with a soft off white to beige head. Aroma of rye, light citrus. Flavor is eye, dishrag, toast, citrus peel.

Keg at Draft Taproom, 12/21/16. Hazy copper, large creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of toasted malt and rye. The taste is bitter hops, toasted malt, rye in the finish. Medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours Amber with a white head. Taste lightly spices, caramel, citrus. I thought this was good. I would drink this again.
