Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver, 5.3% ABV mcberko (19220) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 4, 2013
Amber color, hazy, with creamy head. The aroma is too light. Dry mouthfeel, but less dry than the otherwise similar Vienna Lager; pleasant caramel flavor with a bready touch; correct bitterness ending with soft fruity esters.
Balanced and clean, easy but pleasant.
On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a cloudy orange with a medium off-white head. Aroma of rustic farmhouse notes and a touch of floral. Flavour is not far off from a saison, with farmhouse notes, Belgian yeast, and some floral notes. Very light on the palate, with a nice flavour dimension. Very drinkable, though nothing extraordinary. jtclockwork (17467) - , New Jersey, USA - MAR 21, 2014
