"Dark fruit and candy spice on the nose. Caramel-lighter brown in color. Prickly but sticky too. Bready yeasty flavor with roasted malt and chocolate. One of the better Commons brews." marcus (10479) - Sacramento, California, USA - MAY 5, 2014
On tap at Fredfest 2014. Pours reddish brown with a decent beige head and a light fruit aroma. There is a strange complex flavor with some chocolate and caramel. DedicatedToFun (4000) - Santa Monica, California, USA - MAR 20, 2014

On draught at Imperial Bottle Shop and Taproom, paired with Woodblock Chocolate’s Madagascar chocolate. Light amber brown color. Aroma is sweet and light milk chocolate. Taste is caramel, light yeast, corn malt, and grass. Chocolate added a weightiness to the aftertaste. pdx76 (651) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAR 16, 2013
On draught at beer mongers - slight foam around edge of glass. Nose of sweet malt. Nice fizzy mouthfeel with taste of sweet cane sugar with dry finish.

Draught at the Grain & Gristle restaurant in Portland. Super dark fruit aroma: concentrated cherries, plums, raisins. Reddish-amber with ruby tints. Thick malty initial, with some good dark caramel / mid palate has mild raisins, dates, and a touch of yeast / finish is warm, smooth, and very well balanced. Medium-heavy body, with good light carbonation. Very good stuff. Complex flavor changes throughout. Alphadelic (2249) - Portland, Oregon, USA - FEB 22, 2013
Listed as 9% at Bailey’s tap-room. Lighter brown/red. Very light and smooth, with some candy sugar. Light and dry. Very tasty and super mellow for the ABV. boFNjackson (4201) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JAN 20, 2013
Tap @ The Commons Brewery... Poured a deep reddish/rust color with a moderate, off-white head. Nice tasting Belgian ale here. Some citrus, fruit esters and yeast spices. Mild mouthfeel and only a little dryng with candied malt tones. Despite the ABV quite quaffable. scrizzz (2223) - Bothell, Washington, USA - FEB 9, 2011
Dark caramel nose, seems to have wood and bourbon notes, though that’s all in my head. Dark toffee with a sandy head. Richly sweet, some orange blossom, and more young bourbon and wood. I really can’t believe this isn’t aged in a barrel. Dark candy sugar, little heat in the middle that quiets in the finish. BrewDad (5328) - Olympia, Washington, USA - DEC 16, 2010
Dark brown in color, clear with a tin head. Big malt aroma and flavor. Sweet candy flavors with caramel and light hops. Easy drinking strong ale. Nice beer and I can’t wait to try more from this place.
