Draft at the brewery. Hazy golden wheat with a fine white head. Stale grains, wheat and lactic acid throughout. Strangely milky with cereal grain flavor (Cheerios) with chalky, silty, pasty yeast. Resembles berliner weisse but without wheat. As it opens the acidity and milky sourness becomes difficult to handle, and it creeps over into stomach bile / vomit territory. There’s some dried fruit character as well, could be from hops or the tropical yeast esters, I’m not sure, but it does give it a distinct sour patch kid candy flavor. Lightly sweet, grainy, chalky, lactic and messy.
On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazed gold with a medium sized white head. Floral with some musk and a bit of citrus. Milky floral notes. Medium bodied, soft acidity, barrel with some light floral and tart notes. Tangy, soft acid, musk. Tangy, fruit, a bit of musk. hopdog (12851) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 29, 2017

170517. On tap at The Catfish in Fitzroy. This is my first beer from this brewery and I had this as part of an Portland brewery tap takeover during Good Beer Week. Very good sour ale with plenty of funky tartness up front and it carries all the way to the finish. Light in colour with a small head that quickly vanishes. Sour fruit aroma with a touch of vinegar thrown in for good measure – surprisingly smells pretty good. Thin in the mouth which I what I was expecting. Long dry finish. dnstone (3462) - Kansas City, Missouri, USA - MAY 31, 2017

Portrait: Un liquide jaune doré. Un nez et une bouche à la levure saison. C’est classique comme produit. Passablement sec et facile à boire. J’aime.
