On tap at elliot bay, pours a clear pale golden with a large white head. Aroma sweet honey grain bread malt, light toast. Taste of sweet honey grain malt with an earthy bitter grassy hop hit then more sweet malt and yeast on the finish. Decent. gephross100 (943) - Bellaire, Texas, USA - MAY 20, 2017

Draft at the brewery. Straw yellow in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas are of wet stones, clean pilsner malt, and mild herbal hop. Light bodied with thin pilsner malt, faint lemon peel and minerals. Nice sharp mineral finish too. Tasty and clean, but lacking in some greener hop notes.

Draft at SB. We kicked the Stivo, and the managers called a huddle of customers at the bar. Do we put on the Commons next, or the Happy Little Clouds? Ordinarily, HLC would win hands down, but a couple of us were curious to try this one. Turns out I’d already had it a year and a half ago, but hadn’t rated it. Bad RBian, bad. Rate the pils. Rate the pils or else it gets the Chelada again. Anyway, here we go. Pours a crystal clear medium gold with tons of steadily rising nucleation columns (not quite columns, but, still, so active) and a frothy platinum-blond head that sticks around forever. Forward grassy nose--the very picture of the warm summer meadow, the heath, where possibility seems boundless. Oh, shut up. It’s grassy. Whatever. Creamy medium body with lively (as expected) carb. Lightly toasty mid palate. Grassy notes all over the place. Mild dry finish. Doesn’t have quite the clarity or pop of the two pils surrounding it, which perhaps shades it in an unfairly unfavorable light. It’s essentially flawless, but the pils race isn’t getting any easier on anybody. Being clean isn’t enough anymore. You need great design to carry a pils across the finish line, even on an 84F day in the PNW. TylerGreenDC (1033) - - MAR 15, 2016
Draft. Cloudy, foamy. This is not a hop-bomb American pilsner, not by a long shot. Tastes more like a lager. Very dry. SirLimpsalot (4451) - SWEDEN - MAR 14, 2016
@ Commons, Porland 16-3-11: Stiltypisk pilsner med toner av korn och humle. Ingen sensation men helt om.
