3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a light, clear, straw color, turning more orange and hazy as the yeast is mixed in. Head is thin and white. Active bubbles. Aromas of bread, dough, sweet clove. Flavors are similar with a hint of lemon, dry finish, with good acid. Mouthfeel is very lively and sharp with a light body. Rye certainly adds some spiciness to this as well. A nice offering.
UPDATED: SEP 17, 2017 On draft at the brewery!

Bottle shared in MV with the fam. Pours mostly clear yellow-gold, effervescent, with a creamy, white head. The nose has some doughy wheat bread, sourdough, lemon meringue. Light-medium sweet flavour, with low bitterness, a little straw, very slight acidity, mellow alcohol warmth. Light to medium bodied with lively carbonation. Finishes with a bit of warmth, some pear, white grape, melon, more sourdough. Pretty clean and drinkable. Sask89 (529) - Regina, Saskatchewan, CANADA - AUG 6, 2017

Clear light golden with a lasting thick white fluffy head. Dry farmhousey dusty hay on the nose with a kiss of black peppercorn and light fruit skin. Crisp pale malt flavor that’s Belgian ish and dry and slightly funky, clean, a touch peppery, and a light fruity pale malt finish. Clean and elegant and simple, but delicate and pale malty. UPDATED: JUN 20, 2017 Big bottle from Mile High. This beer has a barely hazy gold body with a gigantic, pillowy white head. It sure looks like a real Belgian beer. Incredible funky, peppery, fruity, barnyard aroma wafts from the tulip glass. A kiss of pilsner malt rounds out things with a light, spicy hoppiness. The mouthfeel is smooth and spritzy. Excellent yeast character continues in the flavor with suggestions of pineapple, pepper, and hay. A semi-sweet malt body gives impressions of cracker, but dries out quickly. This is an expert saison that goes beyond just your average American take on the style. Everything from the mouthfeel to the nuances in the yeast character clearly shows attention to detail. tricksta_p (5013) - Steenwijk, NETHERLANDS - JUN 6, 2017
From tap at The Commons, Portland. Aroma is spicy Saison yeast, malt, herbal notes, spicy notes, with a mild floral touch and citrussy notes. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet and lightly bitter.
