3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a lightly hazed, orange-tinged gold with a medium white head. Aroma is spicy, with elements of Noble hops and orange zest.
Taste is sweetish and spicy. More zest, orange flavors, some grassy and spicy hop flavors, white pepper and ctirus along with toasty malt. Just the lightest bit of alcohol heat that follows late in the swallow; otherwise, extremely smooth and drinkable.
Mouthfeel is medium and soft, almost quaffable. Quite nontraditional for the style -- I would almost characterize it as an "imperial wit" but it does work as a tripel.
Pours a clear orange amber with a large foamy white head that leaves rapidly. Something of a perfume/tobacco aroma. Or maybe just a big mix of fruits. Full bodied with foamy carbonation. Suddenly I understand those who say beer has bubblegum. This has more than that. I still get a tobacco/earth aspect, but there’s tropical fruit here. It’s neither sweet nor bitter nor sour. The heat is hardly detectable. There’s a nice juicy fruit aspect along the lower tongue sides. With a lot time it actually starts to taste like a standard tripel. Must be fruit taste fatigue setting in. It’s really impressive. mar (5415) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUL 29, 2010
Gold with a cream head. Nose is dried fruits, Belgian yeast and faint spices. Nice thickness on the palate, flavor is dried fruits, yeasty, faint spice in the finish. thirdeye11 (6160) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUL 29, 2010
(draught) clear golden body, creamy head and lacing. Nose of light alcohol, honey, light floral hops, belgian yeast and fruity. Taste of Belgian yeast, alcohol, apple, pear, cracker. Slightly hot finish, fruity and delicious linger. Nellie (349) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUL 29, 2010
Smells like miller lite. Chad is angry that I think that. Apricots and musty sweat. Don’t hate me. It’s still good! blutt59 (6564) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUL 17, 2010

Medium bodied, sticky texture, average carbonation, and an astringent finish.
