This is the 06 version just taken out of the cellar. Balck in color with an attractive chocolate colored head that doesn’t hang around for last call. Roasted and boozy in the aroma but in the best of ways. Rich roasted malt flavor complemented by some dark fruits and molasses. What sets this beer apart from others is the rich coffee like finish and the soft velvet like mouthfeel.
This one is worth seeking out.
Draft at Craft Brewed. Pours a motor oil black with a half finger of beige foam that lingers. Big Nutella, sorghum nose. Dates and cacao, melted brown sugar. Roasted malt on the palate. Toasted caramel, roasted bitter finish. A big beautiful, rich and full-flavored stout. Everything a baltic should be. Bacchus66 (1000) - South Carolina, USA - AUG 17, 2017
12oz bottle at home. Pours dark brown with a full chocolate head. Smells great - roasted malt, chocolate powder, vanilla, soy. Flavors are the same, dark and roasted, a little rough around the edges maybe, with a long roasted malt and chocolate finish. Really nice, great stuff. justinb612 (3) - - AUG 8, 2017 does not count

Large khaki head over a black body that left very nice lacing. Aroma of roasted malts compliment the dark fruit, raisins and raspberries. Flavor shifts away from the fruit a bit and focuses more intently on the malt character. Bittersweet chocolate, tobacco, molasses, a touch of coffee and a little smoke that is more noticeable in the aftertaste. Alcohol is enhancing, not overpowering. slowrunner77 (13206) - Reno, Nevada, USA - MAR 3, 2017
Dark pour. Heavy body and flavor. Deep roasted malts, plum, tobacco, light bread. Maaaybe a hint of bittersweet chocolate on the tail end. An interesting and tasty brew. glennmastrange (2940) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - FEB 28, 2017
Bottle. Heavy malt aromas of toasted, dark bread and chocolate milk, light herbs for the hops, light dough for the yeast, with toffee and soy sauce in the background. Head is small, fizzy/frothy, light brown, with some spots of lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is very dark brown. Flavor starts moderately sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes lightly sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Palate is medium to full, creamy, with a sticky. dry and slightly astringent finish. This is an excellent beer and probably the best Baltic Porter I’ve had. kathouse (1942) - LAS VEGAS, Nevada, USA - FEB 26, 2017
Pours dark brown with a minimal head. Aroma is coffee and cocoa. Flavor is rich like chocolate cake but not as sweet. Smooth mouthfeel and enjoyable. ABUSEDGOAT (2902) - California, USA - FEB 23, 2017
Black pour with a small tan head. Aroma of chocolate, fudge, caramel, lightly vinous, light soy. Medium to full body, big dark malt flavors, thick. Good stuff.
