A deep red beer with a lazing light brown head - the color is not dark enough to be a brown ale! The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of berries. The flavor is sweet with light notes of roasted malt, nuts, and towards the end also metal. The end is slightly bitter. The carbondioxide tickles the tongue while drinking. joergen (29611) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 15, 2011

On draft at the new Pizzeria Paradiso, thank you Jeff. Medium brown color with tan head. Aroma of caramel and malt. Taste of chocolate and caramel, more malt than hops, but with a decent bitter edge. madmitch76 (26413) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JAN 17, 2010
11th October 2008. GABF. Clear brown beer. Malty, clean tasting but ultinmately boring brown ale. Slightly hoppy aftertaste. Papsoe (25054) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - DEC 16, 2009
Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of brentfeesh. Pours a hazy amber with a gigantic and lacing beige head. Roasted malty nose with some nuts. Medium body, roasted malts, a little leather and fruit with some vanilla. Some malt bitterness. Nice one. 161209 Oakes (19416) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 14, 2006
Hazy dark chestnut colour. Head rises huge but gently falls to a rich, inch-thick layer. Great aroma of fresh toasted grains, layers of chocolate malt and earth and an appetizingly dusty yeastiness. The body starts creamy then gets fizzier. This means the front is dominated by sweet but simple brown sugar & deglet noor-ish malts but the end features deep dark chocolate, mocha and bitter, rooty hop textures. As brawny and complex a brown ale as I’ve found that still remains true to the style. chrisv10 (18711) - DENMARK - JUN 30, 2011
