12oz bottle. Clear medium brown with a thin tan head. Nuts, cherries, chocolate, caramel, sweet malt, medium hops bitterness gives it some lift. Hoppy, cocoa finish. Drjohnrock (831) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 29, 2017
Twelve ounce bottle from mix six pack bought at Ingles Supermarket, tasted on July 26, 2017. Brown/amber hue, sweet but firm malty aroma, interesting bittersweet taste with some mustiness and more heft than a lot of brown ales; only a bit too much astringency keeps this from getting a higher score. wombat23 (1665) - Texas, USA - NOV 25, 2016
12 oz. bottle. Clear dark amber, beige head. Malty aroma. Taste is malt, brown bread, nuts, hints of caramel. Decent. slowrunner77 (12586) - Reno, Nevada, USA - NOV 2, 2016
12 oz from Tavour. A little hoppier and drier than most browns with a diverse malt aroma and flavor. A little thin and dry, better than ok - but not quite into the good/very good range. altonbrownd (5897) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - JUL 2, 2016

4 oz pour on draft at Spacebar. Clear dark amber brown with beige head. Aromas of caramel, toffee, light roast. Tastes of malt, caramel, toffee, light dark fruit, some bitter roasty notes. Medium body with a dry finish. kevinsenn (2263) - Waterloo, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 8, 2016
Bottle from ABC. Caramalt and American hop aroma. Nice. The taste is similar but not quite as good. jsporrer (1086) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 23, 2016
Poured from a bottle. Pours a medium brown with a thin tan ring. Caramel and roasted malt aroma. Fairly smooth start with a light malt flavor and a medium hop bite. I prefer more malt balance and less hops in a dark beer. Finish is very bitter. Drinkable but not that enjoyable. ryanscourt (1516) - Latrobe, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 14, 2015
Not a bad drink. oasty malt flavor with touch of hop balance. Their is a slight sweetness and fruit ester flavor. Rather bland watery mouthfeel overall though. Foxbush (2088) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - OCT 28, 2015
12 oz bottle from the AOPD beers each month The ale poured a clear brown color with small head and limited lacing. There is a nice roasted malt aroma that greets you. The taste is more complex with nuts and roasted malt. The ale has a light body with soft carbonation. The finish was clean with hop flavors closing out the beer..
