A reddish brown marzen with a thin mocha head. In aroma, a nice nutty malt with light cinnamon. In mouth, a nice nutty malt with light cinnamon, nice and smooth. On tap at Snallygaster DC, Oct. 13 2012. crossovert (14133) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 13, 2011
12 oz bottle.
It pours a bit darker and redder than the average Maerzen. The head is foamy and slightly off-white and it recedes pretty quickly, but with some decent lacing.
The smell is pretty standard, there is a hint more caramel in teh smell of this one in comparison to other maerzens.
The flavor is odd, it has an astringent bitterness ot it and some hints of chocolate. It has an odd sweetness too, It isn’t very good unfortunately.

12oz bottle. Small beige head atop crystal clear copper body. Aroma is moderately sweet, caramel, some cherry, light earthy. Taste is moderately sweet, cherry, some caramel, faint earthy. Light-medium body, light stickiness. Too sweet for a marzen in my book, but tasty. BeerandBlues2 (14027) - Escondido, California, USA - SEP 12, 2014

Deep amber with a small off-white head. Lots of bready munich malt in the aroma, with a touch of biscuit. Full flavoured bready malt flavour with a faint roasted note. A bit sweet, but with a good bitter finish. Tastes very German in character, only better than most German märzens.

355ml bottle picked up at Vinmonopolet Vika in Oslo. Clear amber body, minimal off-white head. Dry, nutty malts to the nose. Earthy malts to the taste buds together with almond. (12oz bottle, courtesy of ericandersnavy) Pours a clear amber body with a medium beige head. Aroma of caramel, grass, nuts, and florals. Flavor of caramel malt, nuts, and light bread with a mildly bitter finish. thewolf (12949) - Kolding, DENMARK - MAY 14, 2011
Bottle, bought @ Havnens Vin & Tobak, Vejle.
Clear coppery golden with a large, fairly fizzy, dark off-white head. Aroma of sweet malts, light toasted caramel bordering on milky chocolate. Light floral hops as well. Highish carbonation, fine dry and light creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, quite malty, good toasted caramel with that milky quality to it as the aroma. Hops are slight piney and floral. Fairly asserting bitterness in the finish. A bit dull overall, but nicely drinkable.
