Thanks Matt for bringing some of this back with you over Christmas. Clear bronze color with a moderate off-white head. Scents of lightly toasted malt and caramel. Clean flavors, with a bit of sweetness in the form of caramel and toasted malt. Mild noble hops in the background keep it clean. A very nice interpretation of a classic and still one of my favorite styles (when done well).
12 ounce bottle from the remainder shelf at Liberty Beer in Pittsburgh. A superior beer in every regard, very tasty indeed. smaynard6000 (1266) - Apopka, Florida, USA - SEP 23, 2017
Bottle. Pours amber with a minimal beige head. Softly carbonated. Aroma is malty with caramel presence. Sweet with dominant malt notes, toasted barley and caramel. Medium bodied and very good. 60minuteman (1765) - West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 16, 2016
Bottle. Minimal aroma of malt, bread, spice and cloves. Pouring a see through light chocolate brown, no head. Flavor is sweet without being too cloying. Bread, chocolate, caramel and malt. Unexciting but drinkable. nasmith003 (252) - Virginia, USA - DEC 9, 2016
Light fruity aroma, reddish brown color light foam. Pleasant mix of malt and hops. Malt dissipates quickly. Hop aftertaste lingers a bit. hershiser2 (3825) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - NOV 23, 2016
Bottle from total wine. Pours golden with a small white/beige head. Aroma f grass, leaves, caramel malts. Taste is slightly sweet leafy caramel malts. A bit too sweet up front for me.

Not a lot of soul, but man does that duck-rabbit have a spiffy hat. Sweet toasted caramel malts flare up and die down too swiftly, then the mildly bitter finish fades fast. Looks good, tastes average. thegreenrooster (4626) - St.louis, Missouri, USA - OCT 29, 2016
Pour is a dark brown-red with a large tan head. Aroma is a real nice toasted bready malt with some notes of caramel. Flavor is toasted bread a bit watery and it finishes dry with a touch of sweetness. A fine example of the style. This brewer does not make a bad beer. crabbypantalones (11) - - OCT 16, 2016
Kind of a wishy-washy attempt at a Marzen, with malts that come across simultaneously too sweet and too fleeting, and a mild bitter backbone that peters out much too early. Not bad, just dull. Pretty, though. gripweed57 (2967) - Hamilton Square, New Jersey, USA - OCT 12, 2016
12 ounce bottle. Pours an amber / copper color with a medium-sized creamy beige head. Aroma is toasted malt with caramel and brown bread. Upfront, flavor is sweet toasted malt. Hints of caramel and toasted bread. Light bodied, yet flavorful. Floral hop finish. Overall, a bit light for an Oktoberfest beer. snoworsummer (6273) - baltimore, Maryland, USA - OCT 9, 2016
Draft. Pours clear copper with a very thin head. Tastes like toffee malt, dried fruits, nutty, and earthy. Light body and low/medium carbonation. Smells like dried fruits, toffee malt, nutty, and earthy.
