Pours black with medium body. Very small amount of head. A nice smooth cream flavor. I was very impressed and found that the sweet/cream flavoring did not overwhelm the stout as with Left Hand’s Milk Stout, which I think tastes more like a liquid Milk Dud.
Bottle. Nice, heavy weight and feel. Coffee and licorice. Slightly bitter, fuzzy finish.

Draft at Craft Brewed. Pours a pitch black with a half-finger of beige head. Roasted coffee, prune and toasted granola. Medium body, great balance. Lingering chocolate and coffee notes. Touch of latte on the finish. I like this. Drjohnrock (828) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 29, 2017
From 12 ounce bottle bought as part of a mix 6 pack from Ingles Supermarket in Lake Lure, North Carolina, tasted on July 26, 2017. Very dark brown/amber color, intense aroma of roasted malt/licorice/lactose/coffee/a bit of chocolate, good roasted malt/coffee/lactose flavor that’s not as big as the nose advertised but still quite decent. rosskyle (744) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUL 30, 2017

Bottle from Harris Teeter, Hampstead, North Carolina. Dark reddish-brown with a thin off-white head. Has a sweet nose, with a mildly sweet dark malt taste rather than any stated roasted malts. Nsanders (1155) - St Paul, Minnesota, USA - APR 23, 2017
Bottle. Black with a huge tan head, delaying pour. Creamer, milk chocolate, vanilla wafers and slight earthy aromas. Has a subtle chocolate milk flavor that is less sweet. Heavier body with a smooth feel. MBlessing (1386) - Württemberg, GERMANY - APR 7, 2017

Poured with little carbonation. Sweet aroma. Taste of mocha with a bit less sweetness. Thicker on the tongue but not heavy.wwll balanced. Sweet and bitter blend extremely. I usually only do stouts in winter but this has year round drinkabiliry due to its light yet complex flavors. jc1762 (1544) - Washington DC, USA - OCT 15, 2016
Bottle poured into a pilsner showing pitch black with coffee black rims and very sparse latte colored foam.
The nose shows a lactose sweet note throughout on top of a bed of roasted malts.
The palate is light bodied with light carbonation. Immediate subtle lactose sweetness appears but closer to a soybean-like sweetness. Barely any bitterness. A bit thin on flavor all around and a very simple milk stout.
