9/2/13. 12oz bottle at Bad Habitz. Surprised I hadn’t had this one before. Black pour with a nice tan head, good lacing. Ash cream, chocolate milk, and coffee on the aroma. Similar flavor, lots of ash, borderline smokey in a way (not the "salty" type), with lingering coffee and a touch of acidity. Tasty. Chaneybr (52) - Washington DC, USA - AUG 20, 2013
Ap: Pours with a HUGE head that I had to let settle. Maybe I poured this one too fast - Oops! Dark brown, with a tinge of see-through around the edges.
Ar: Roasted (or even BBQed) chocolate with a bit of smokiness. However, right away, I got a bit of soured milk or food kind of nose. Ugh.
T: A bit on the thin side, and not much on the finish. It’s kind of watery actually. Also, there is kind of a fake, dark fruit taste in general.
P: Watery, but with a fair amount of carbonation. It needs more creaminess.
O: I don’t think I’ll drink this one again. I’m glad I tried it, because I respect this brewery very much. However, this was a bit of a disappointment. Martinus (4692) - Baarle-Nassau, NETHERLANDS - JUL 26, 2013
Clear black colour, red hue, beige head. Aroma of caramel, chocolate, coffee, bit dusty. Very light bitter, roasted malts flavour. Quite thin body. Finish liquorice (drop), coffee. No Best Before Date or indication of brew date, but guess it’s not really fresh anymore.

(From 355cL bottle shared @ Ben’s place. Bought that very day @ De Molen Biershop)
Pours a dark black with brown head. Some carbonation. A strong, overpowering coffee aroma, with some wood, oatmeal, and roast. Flavor is also very strong coffee with some roast. Not very balanced. Countbeer (6591) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - JUL 6, 2013
Bottle: Served in a Chouffe glass: Not sure about the vintage but the label 8 and 11... Guess it’s well till the 8th month and 2011... Or did Americans switch that..? Ah well it’s about the beer, right.
Dark copper brown pour. Medium to more smaller beige foamy head on top of a black colored beer.
Aroma of roast, soap, wood, iron, oatmeal, some hints of liquorice, liquorice wood and smokey barleys.
Flavours of woody malts, roast, liquorice, cream, light dry, oatmeal, liquorice wood, light bitter, iron, wood and barley toast/roast and some herbs...
Aftertaste is roast, liquorice wood, oatmeal, herbal and grass.
Low carbo, soft creamy mouthfeel, medium and a what thin body and a creamy texture.
Bit malt woody (?!) but further a decent porter!

UPDATED: JUL 7, 2013 355 cl. bottle sampled – courtesy of Martinus. Thx! for sharing. Dating strip is unclear to the least but this seems to be a 2008 Vintage. The beer itself reveals clear signs of age. Pours dark brown, blackish, mocha head. Nose is sweet iron, oxidation, thin fading coffee & caramel, fading malts. Taste is thinned out, bitter roast upfront, brown sugar, herbs, thin older coffee, herbs, old grains, mocha & some berries. Body is thinned out. I hope that this is better fresh because the reputation of this doesn’t correspond in any way with the quality of this. I hard good things about these guys. pras (602) - Maryland, USA - JUN 8, 2013
Solid beer. Dark appearance. Nose full of roasty malt. Flavor is roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, and a slight hop bitterness in the background. Full bodied and enjoyable. kathouse (1930) - LAS VEGAS, Nevada, USA - JUN 5, 2013
Wonderful beer full of coffee, unsweetened chocolate and smoke. Medium body and lasting roasted finish. 60minuteman (1765) - West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 29, 2013
Delicious aroma of dark chocolate, malts, and oat. Taste is the same. Very dark and toasty. Semi-sweet on the end. A really enjoyable porter thunderhops (224) - Vermont, USA - APR 12, 2013
Pours dark with small tan head. Aroma and flavor follow description well with the roasted grain and dark chocolate. Smooth full body dry finish.
