2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Very dark on the pour. Piney and a somewhat burnt caramel flavor. Malty, nutty flavors with a light sweet roasty aftertaste.
This is pretty delicious. Smells like toffee and has a grade b maple syrup color. This was really smooth and delicious, easy on the palate and didn't feel overly heavy. That said I don't think these are natural flavors and almost tastes like fake maple that they derive from fenugreek. Not sure but this is almost too good to be true. Glad I picked up a four pack and will enjoy on this cold November day.

A nice, easy to drink brown Ale. Lots of Carmel and toffee notes, not a lot of bitterness. Good session brown. MaltOne (412) - Wisconsin, USA - APR 10, 2017
Pours dark clear brown. Big pecan aroma. Taste is also pecan and leaning toward sweet. Minor notes of coffee. A bit of a novelty, but not bad. (in LA) nuplastikk (6514) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 23, 2016
16oz can. Pretty deep brown body. Steady beige head. Certainly nutty, but not in a natural way..in an oily extract or just strong candy pecan way. So I guess it is good, like flavored soda is good, it has unique flavors. Not really a solid beer, mostly because it really hides a thin boring body behind those artificial tones. Artificial burnt plastic aroma.

Poured from the can into a nonic pint glass. Way too much carbonation as the head of foam explodes upward levaing only a literal half a glass of beer. Truly a bad omen before the tasting. Candied pecans up front with a sharp malt grain aroma almost like a syrupy low grade canadian whiskey. The taste is not much better being a syrupy malty caramel with pecan influence. The finsih is slightly metallic and mineral. Just not worth a second try. tightslice (1530) - Redwood City, California, USA - AUG 23, 2016

Aroma: Artificial pecan syrup, kid’s pecan cereal (if that were a thing)
Taste: Sweet with a lot of artificial vanilla and fake pecan flavor
Overall: Overwhelmingly artificial and sweet. Drain pour.
Tall boy into a pint glass. Pours a medium brown with a moderate khaki head. Nose is pralines, and the taste follows. Nice balance between the pecan pie sweetness and the bitterness on the finish. Pretty decent novelty beer. KUEric (979) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - JUL 14, 2016
The aroma is too candied pecans. Its like a desert smell. The look is nice, deep, dark reddish brown with a small head. The flavor is a bit much on the pecan, a bit much on the mixed bitter-flatness. Just not my cup of beer.
