2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Very dark on the pour. Piney and a somewhat burnt caramel flavor. Malty, nutty flavors with a light sweet roasty aftertaste.

Pours dark clear brown. Big pecan aroma. Taste is also pecan and leaning toward sweet. Minor notes of coffee. A bit of a novelty, but not bad. (in LA)

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
16oz can. Pretty deep brown body. Steady beige head. Certainly nutty, but not in a natural way..in an oily extract or just strong candy pecan way. So I guess it is good, like flavored soda is good, it has unique flavors. Not really a solid beer, mostly because it really hides a thin boring body behind those artificial tones. Artificial burnt plastic aroma.

Poured from the can into a nonic pint glass. Way too much carbonation as the head of foam explodes upward levaing only a literal half a glass of beer. Truly a bad omen before the tasting. Candied pecans up front with a sharp malt grain aroma almost like a syrupy low grade canadian whiskey. The taste is not much better being a syrupy malty caramel with pecan influence. The finsih is slightly metallic and mineral. Just not worth a second try.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Location: Can from Willow’s Market in Menlo Park, CA
Aroma: Artificial pecan syrup, kid’s pecan cereal (if that were a thing)
Taste: Sweet with a lot of artificial vanilla and fake pecan flavor
Overall: Overwhelmingly artificial and sweet. Drain pour.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Tall boy into a pint glass. Pours a medium brown with a moderate khaki head. Nose is pralines, and the taste follows. Nice balance between the pecan pie sweetness and the bitterness on the finish. Pretty decent novelty beer.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
The aroma is too candied pecans. Its like a desert smell. The look is nice, deep, dark reddish brown with a small head. The flavor is a bit much on the pecan, a bit much on the mixed bitter-flatness. Just not my cup of beer.

(En fût à Square One Pizza Cafe): Des effluves puissantes de pecan et de céréales grillées qui se transposent assez bien en saveurs. Le corps est mince et aérien, hautement engouffrable.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: SEP 19, 2016 Decent nutty brown ale - more pecan and caramel than dark roast. Medium bodied, finishing bittersweet. A little heavy handed on the adjuncts. Pleasant in small samples. Didn’t want a pint, though. Can.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Can from Whole Foods in Little Rock, Arkansas. Clear, copper body. A ton of effervescence. White bubbly collar. Breads, malls, nuts in the aroma. Lots of pecan character. Mildly sweet with a light, but not thin, body. Pecan character is stronger in the flavor than in the aroma. Over for me in as advertised. Fun.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
A nice brown ale. A little nutty, some caramel. Not too roasted. It had a heavier body, good carbonation, a filling beer.
