Sampled at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012. Pours a hazy and dark brown beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is malt and caramel. The flavor follows the nose with additional bitterness and grapefruit. The palate is bitterness. Overall a good beer.

UPDATED: JUL 4, 2012 Draught at CBC. Joy Division are my fave band of all time, No Love Lost is a minor detail in the history of Joy Division. This tribute-beer is clear dark brown with a beige head. Light malty, lightly roasted, fruity hops. Medium bitter, dry finish. Nice mouthfeel, dark soul.

From old notes. From tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012. Dark brown color with beige head. Light roasted malty aroma, caramel, hoppy, citrusy fruity, light pine. Sweet and bitter taste. Medium oily body with soft carbonation

Thank you Terry! Dark dark brown pour with slight hints of red when held to the light. Patent like roasted barley and coca nib notes give way to piney herbals and hints of tropical fruit. Medium body with a bone dry finish. Really interesting beer here. What black IPA should be...

Tap @ Mikkeller. Muddy opaque chestnut pour and a nice pillowy latte head. Aroma is hop forward with bright citrus fruits, zesty tea, a bit soapy, a small cocoa hint and a bit of butter (diacetyl I guess) presence. Taste is brightly hoppy and citrus/pink grape forward. A farmhouse-esque note, chiming in with fruity esters and flowery notes. Lastly a tasting note somewhat reminiscent of how I imagine toilet cleaner would taste. Slightly dense malt flavour carrying a hint of cocoa nibs, but not any particular roasted notes. Tasty, but the yeast and hops are not a particularly heavenly combination.

Tasted on tap @Craft beer co, London, on 30/06/2912. Aroma is pleasant, though not very intensive. Taste is great, moderately bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
