Tap at the Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012. Pours black brown with a delicate, foamy tan head. Incredibly fresh nose with some grass, yeast and light pine. Great flavor, very dynamic, medium sweet, somewhat spicy with fresh grass, faint roast and light, zesty lemon. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Medium sweet to finish with light dirt, more grass, earth, light pine, some berry fruits or something, light bubblegum and very mild dark chocolate in the aftertaste. An excellent beer this. Tap at Craft Brixton - 28/09/12.
Mid black with a good sized tan head that retained well. Looked the part !
Pine nose, hops, fruit and a touch of licqourice.
Taste follows nose, dark fruis, roasted malt presence, pine, licquorice, touch of brett/sourness in the finish.
Medium bodied with minimal carbonation making for a great mouthfeel.

At the source, courtesy of Terry, thank you sir! Hazy dark brown color, small tan head. Aroma of pine, grass, subtle coffee grounds. Taste is burnt toast, coffee, cocoa powder, pine resin. Nice. BeerandBlues2 (14018) - Escondido, California, USA - APR 13, 2012

On tap. poured a dark color with nice lacing and a small head. Aromas of squeazed lime juice, windex, hops, pine, numerous fruits. Taste was comparable to aroma but a little roastier and ashy on tongue. Other notes of fatty duck, and peppercorn, Very good black ipa. Super soft mouth.

Thank you Terry! Dark dark brown pour with slight hints of red when held to the light. Patent like roasted barley and coca nib notes give way to piney herbals and hints of tropical fruit. Medium body with a bone dry finish. Really interesting beer here. What black IPA should be... GT (10017) - San Diego, California, USA - APR 13, 2012
Tap at the brewery in VA thanks to Terry et al. Pours clear, deep red with a smaller tan head. Good retention. Nose is piney, citrus, sharp grapefruit pith. Taste is quite orange and grapefruit peel bitter almost like Black IPA with quenching citrus character. No roast which is nice despite the SRM. Actually some muted bacon and truffle. Rich and gamey. Lovely.
