Sampled draft @ The Fiddler. Pre-pre-Borefts. Clear sparkling golden, big bubble solid head. Nose is very soapy, sugar, overly soapy, poor sugar, thin, fizzy. Taste is nasty soap, chemicals, apple, sugar, really bad, fizzy, chemical paper, garbage, watery, Thin awful paper wheat, watery, thin & fizzy. Quite rubbish just like their other beers.

Cask. Leicht trbes goldgelbes Bier mit einer geringen weien schaumkrone. Geruch phenolisch fruchtig, hefig, reife Banane. Geschmack phenolisch fruchtig hefig und bananig, langweilig!

Zlotta (2354) - Hagen, GERMANY - JUL 27, 2016
Sampled from tap at the brewpub. Clear, golden yellow with a white head. Sweetish, moderately yeasty-spicy and a little fruity aroma of caramel, honey, clove and some banana. Sweetish, yeasty-spicy and a little fruity taste of caramel, honey, vanilla, clove and banana, followed by a short, slightly bitter, rather yeasty-spicy finish. Medium body, slightly oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Not really a Hefeweizen to be honest.

(The Fiddler Long Neck Weizen) Tap at The Fiddler. Pale yellow coloured body, crystal clear, with a small and thin white head on top, with low retention. Aroma has only faint whaet, some citrus notes and grass. Taste follows, with just a hint of wheat, citrus and light floral notes. Thin watery body, good carbonation. Reading the last reviews its like I had a totally different beer but those are from three years ago I see. The beer is okay, just not what you expect when you read Weizen on the menu.

Cask, taster @ The Fiddler. Pale blonde, hazy. Citrus and some coreander in the aroma. Cereals, citrus, coreander and a hint of peach in the flavor. Too spicy to be a good thirst quencher.

jmgreenuk (8007) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - MAR 29, 2013
Draft at the Brewpub. Poured a cloudy light amber with a glass hugging white head. The aroma is a little sour and not like a Weizen at all. The flavour is a little bitter, watery with little on the palate. Not a favourite.

worldbeertaste (1796) - West Midlands, ENGLAND - MAR 27, 2013
Hazy dark yellow with a sticky, lasting, thin, lacy white head. Smells a bit skunky like sulphur, yeast with a lemon citrus extract and coriander. Light thin body with soft carbonation. Tastes of banana candy with coriander and banana and finishes with a yeast filled dry citrus end. A mediocre ale. Watery

kermis (11511) - Where the wild whales are, NETHERLANDS - MAR 4, 2013
Draft at the brewpub. Pours cloudy yellow with a medium white head. Aroma of yeast, citrus, bread and light caramel. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Not a bad example of the style.
