Draught at the Keg: brown muddy body, thin ring of head…nicely roasted aromatics with a nutty presence. Flavour here isn’t bad: roasted walnuts and a tad bit of sticky malt. Decent carbonation, but the mouth feel in the end is very thin and watery. The hoppy beers at the Keg are much better than the ones that try to have a malt component… ElGaucho (2401) - Minnetonka, Minnesota, USA - NOV 30, 2003
Banana notes on the nose, which is to be expected from a Wheat, but not in Brown. Some faint roasted malt notes as well. Fully opaque body with off-white head that is mostly dissipating. No head retention. Flavor is tart. The initial mouthfeel isn't bad but there are some homebrew qualities I couldn't shake. Roasted malt notes provide decent initial impression but there is just not enough malt to sustain it.
