Week 11, 2016. Amber is normally a synonym for bland but Kernel don’t do bland. Muddy bronze bits-in with a slim but enduring beige lid. Squashy tropical fruit, papaya, lychee and pissed on flowers aroma. Deeply nutty, floral and lingering with a big fruity smack of lychee and blackcurrant hops. Jelly tots, strawberry creams and stewed hairy stems. Nothing to dislike. fonefan (51516) - VestJylland, DENMARK - DEC 4, 2016

Bottled, 500ml from Trafalgar Wines, Brighton, E.Sussex. Clouded amber with white head. There is a sweeter citrus character to this, marmalade with a slightly sharper lemon edge. Some caramel, some malty notes. Rich and fuller. Very decent. Desverger (13097) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - APR 21, 2016
Bottle shared with Niller, sourced from the brewery - deep fuzzy Amber pour with off white head and lacing, marmalade, citrus peel, grapefruit, nice hoppy backing, juicy, light caramel sweetness, good stuff. Towey1989 (3324) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - APR 18, 2016
Keg at The Hop Inn, Newcastle-Under-Lyme. A clear deep ruby Amber colour with a fizzy off white head. Aroma of caramel, red fruits, some dark fruits and subtle spicy hops. Taste of caramel, red fruits, some blackcurrant jam, slight peach, maybe passion fruit and subtle spicy hops. Medium bodied and an oily texture. A bittersweet, jammy, spicy hop bitterness in the finish. Not much hop presence in the aroma but the taste is bursting with it, great citra flavours coming through the jammy and caramelly malts. A great amber ale. anders37 (27226) - Malmö, SWEDEN - APR 18, 2016

Colour more brown than amber, and fairly murky with a bit of white head. Decent body. Lots of malt in the aroma and taste, with the citra hops adding lots of orange, some grapefruit and pine.
