Spider crawl notes at the end of a long days rating! Dark brown beer with a little tan head. A light touch of dark malt and then a little sweeter malt coming through. Coffee aftertaste.

Bottle 50cl. @ ChrisOs Pre-GBBF Shindig 2010.
[ Raise The Roof Tasting ]. Light unclear medium brown color with a small average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, roasted dusty. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, roasted malt, coffee bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Black pour with light coming in around the edges when held up. dense, creamy, root beer head that pops up in the center and has lasted until the very end and left some great lacing.
Smells a bit of chocolate but mostly of roasty malts with a bit of coffee as well. The taste is much of the same but more pronounced than the aroma would have indicated. More coffee towards the end and a hint of vanilla throughout. Very robust and EXTREMELY smooth, absolutely perfect carbonation. Roasted coffee slightly bitter flavors towards the end but nothing that lasts and left the palate surprisingly clean. Such a nice beer and the best I have had from this fairly new London Brewery.

Bottle from Kris Wines. Black with a creamy tan head. Roasted coffee aroma with hints of vanilla. Chocolate, roasted coffee, softening vanilla flavours. Smooth as silk. Nice one.
