[ Raise The Roof Tasting ]. Light unclear medium brown color with a small average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, roasted dusty. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, roasted malt, coffee bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100731]

Bottle in a hotel room in London. Hazy red brown coloured with a medium sized beige head. Sweet and roasted aroma of caramel, dried fruits and liquorice. Sweet and roated flavour of liquorice, dark chocolate and hops. Roasted finish.

[email protected] "rock the roof down" pre-gbbf shinding. Deep brown colour, close to black, with a long lasting creamy beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, some ashy notes as well as mild dark fruits and chocolate as well. Flaour is strong roasted notes, some mild chocolate, ashes as well as some hoppyness in the finish as well.

Spider crawl notes at the end of a long days rating! Dark brown beer with a little tan head. A light touch of dark malt and then a little sweeter malt coming through. Coffee aftertaste.

Bottle with Nick at his place in London (closet-cellared for about eight or nine months). Pours dark brown with a medium, off-white head. Roasted cocoa and malts on the nose, some chalky chocolate. Very sweet flavor, cocoa and chocolate malts, some dry roast and mild chocolate syrup. Medium in body with fine carbonation. Warmish finish with more roasted malts, cocoa, some dark and lightly burnt brown sugar, burnt malts. Great beer.

Bottle at ChrisO "I’m Trying to see the Stool" pre GBBF2010 tasting. Very very dark brown. Lasting beige head. Lovely roast, I mean really roasted. I love it. Really good hard roast. Touch of sour on finish.
